Blue Water Bird
lord
let me
tidy up some things
now
reincarnated
as a blue water bird
appeared with wings...

Premium Member Its So Becoming
Listen to poem:
All the coming and going,
going out
guests coming, so -
dress up
make up
spruce up
brush up
tidy up
don the new getup
shake the dust
off the best plates.
Its so uplifting and fulfilling.
This is so becoming....

Time Is of the Essence
If time would let me change the past,
I’d live a perfect life.
No matter how I messed it up.
I’d tidy up the strife.

But sequence has a purpose,
so I’m told by father time.
To have something from here on out,
all change must form a line....

Smile
Get up in the morning
Go shopping and smile
Come home, tidy up
Laugh with friend's and smile
Switch on the tv
The news is all bad, but smile
Take a bath, wash your hair ,and smile
It keeps them happy, when you smile
They think your happy
So maybe the smile's worthwhile...

Premium Member My Last Conversation With Larry
"Shine my boots, wench!" Larry said
"Fetch my wine and cheese and bread!
Tidy up my murphy bed!
Feed the hog and Mr. Ed!
Corn mash for Rhode Island Red!
Why look so gobsmacked by dread?
Did you not say I thee wed?"
"Oh, I said it, until dead"
I confessed, then bashed his head....

Premium Member Window Dressing
Make do with what you have
company coming and feeling modest
Tidy up and dust a spot
Wear clean clothes and put out the
good bath towels
Straighten that rug, no toss it in the closet
a scented candle, too much
The living room curtains washed and ironed
A knock on the door
welcome them in with a smile...

All I'M Asking Lord
Lord, let
Me tidy up
A few things
With me clever
Scottish Bagpipes
Well, I know
The battlefield
Shall claim
Her brave soldiers, but
Danny deserves
A proper resting place, now
Show him
The road
To heaven's gate
All I'm asking, dear Lord
Is to please
Bring our
Danny boy
Back home,
To sweet Ireland
Just a heart beat away...

It’s autumn in garden leaves do blow

Tidy up time start with hedge row

Then cut down weeping willow

Weed flower beds with hoe

Lots of grass to mow

Plant potato

Seeds to sow

Let's go

Joe!

A Home With Harbour Views
I have a home with harbour views.
I like to walk after the rains.
The TV’s turned on to the news.
My body’s full of pains.

I’ve slept and slept until the walls
Echo with softness at my groans.
I’ve slept hard through the distant calls
And motorcars with drones.

So frowning, if I must get up,
I blanket-wrap myself,
And pour away the coffee cup,
And tidy-up the shelf....

Mindful Or Mindless
My desk is all of a shamble
My garden is full of bramble
Does this show me to be
High in ability
Or just a bad example

So, if I tidy up the mess
Would my intelligence be less
Would I be a social turd
Misunderstanding each word
Just like a politician ... yes?

Einsteins Quote :
If a cluttered desk, signs a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?

Penned 17 April 2015...

On Foot
Let those kids get home late
We reach on foot a bit early
Let them visit the river--a corporal fullness
We tidy up, dishes had been untidy for long
Old daddy at home
Mom no more, never was
Brought us up with care
with clay, in own hands
Our kids—our siblings
would get home back when exhausted
No need to worry unreasonably
We go home walking a little on foot, a bit early
Our kids
Our siblings...

Let's Fast
Enough of careless mum,
Enough of unsighted, brutal pun,
Enough of our stomachs full of patience,
Are we not yet done gulping overdosed silence?
We have belched out ignorance,
We have digested even disgrace.
Now our appetite is full... with frustration, with anger.
At least now let's wash our corrupted hands,
Let's tidy up our democratic apparels,
Let's stand straight with broken dignity,
Let's not eat more shame,
Let's fast....

Let Me Tidy Up a Few Things
oh lord
before my life has ended
let me tidy up a few things
first, I need a set of wings
for my soul to set sail
towards
the kingdom of glory
next, I want to continue
to serve God
through
faith and to do His will
through good works
well done thy faithful servant
well done
while
being a guardian angel of mankind
in the presence of God
who is forgiving and merciful
before my life has ended
let me tidy up a few things...

In a Hurry
Hilary was in a killing hurry,
Not wanting to miss a math class,
In her growing worry
Shattered a glass!
Now, she must favor curry
With two stalwarts
Who wouldn’t let this pass:
Humiliation-loving Harry
Who sat his offenders on time-consuming grass
And pain-inflicting twin Larry
Who could crush a not too mischievous lass.

You take it, then,
One never knows when
One is likely to a journey in a killing hurry
Tidy up before does a rickety lorry....

Premium Member Yellow Flowered Woman
Yellow flowered woman hiding among buttercups galore
Knew how to tidy up every crevice, crack and eyesore
We knew better than to fawn, admire, compliment or adore
She did not believe in flattery, felt it was dishonest, did abhor.

Yellow flowered woman came out in April every year.
She was a friend to grasses, daffodils, and delightful deer.
Her goal was to most of nature lovers abundantly clear.
She uplifted spring, gave buttercups and lilies a big cheer....

Fade Out
Can you still taste the flavors of that apple you ate ten years ago
And hear the river nestling against the rocky embankment?
Or does that day no longer exist in your memory?
Have you already forgotten?

I guess inevitability made its way into your heart
And took the place of your emotions
Which you sent packing.

Did you even notice how they slipped out of your mind -
How they left this house empty?

Perhaps you needed to tidy up your home in order to make room for new things....
