Sometimes
I long for
that room
inside
of me
that will
pull me in
from the
threshold
of myself

Walked acrost the wooden door
Threshold above the wooden floor
Forewords world is the score
Sad and weary the tales I lore
I stand at the edge
Twixt rock and fire
Too weary to fight
Too angry to stop
The crows that haunt my waking steps
May never know peace
Listen to poem:
on the cusp
poised precarious, point perched,
lies threshold brink verge,
the tipping-point pivot to,
rise/fall from grace.
Many stand before the door of knowledge but few its threshold are able to cross!

sad the gates of paradise are, for though wide open to all, few cross their threshold!

Weeping across a curtain of lies
Threshold of mysery and despair
Inmense as a vast ocean
Tears flowing from the soul

Oh how much I envy you Old Year for being able to renew yourself at the threshold of oblivion!

Conception of a bloodstained cross
Can be perceived a threshold loss,
As piteous as piety
When rage of age destroys its gloss
And ends a dismal dynasty.
when blood ebbs cold
and threshold past
consoled at last

In winter's embrace
Magic unfolds,
And snowy grace
Creates a threshold
Into a world of wonder
Where you exist;
A precious plunder
Waiting to be kissed.
a gesture
an
immersive
spectacle
a threshold
is crossed
in the
silence
the
lingering
shadow
of
grief
enters
then
loses itself
in
light
Listen to poem:
Edging close to brink,
I dare not look back nor blink.
Been here many times
before, but always slipped back,
losing grip in the leg-up.

I stand, inept
on the edge of dreams
Oblivion waits
and darkness, like a mother,
opens her cloak
At the threshold of time
no-one can release you
from yourself
I choose life.

I've just returned from a perfect honeymoon
Why'd it have to end so soon
He carried me 'cross an ocean resort's threshold
~ Now I'm greeted by mountains of laundry to fold
When we are
at the threshold of
our final journey,
May God never let any of us
have a life
that begins
as soon as we are born;
a life in despair,
in tears
and in need
Today I awoke.
Pain tearing the thin, doped veil
Useless to restrain
Its thirst for health, sanity.
Sleep the friend I most cherish.

in my dream of dreams
i turn the key
and cross the threshold
to a blissful world
of enchantment and serenity
where you await me

a blur
on the threshold
of my perception-
an image emerges,
slowly
becoming a thought-
words follow,
then a line,
then a stanza-
order from chaos,
this poem
from a perception
A veil of promise hides her blushing face
As she recites vows of loving promise
A candle of unity flickers upon a bouquet of flowers
As one rose is placed at the threshold of eternity
Feeling the steel slip thru flesh
The event horizon reached
There can be no turning back for you
The threshold has been breached
So now it's fade to black my friend
And the final sweet release
threshold adornment…
customized love
awaits caressing touch

Travel …
strange bedfellows
made of us all
Crossing
the threshold
hesitancy stalls
Calling us
forward
the moment attacked
Hiding
our fortunes
—the future on track
(Dreamsleep: June, 2023)
We should never curse fate
For
Leading us to the threshold of eternity
Since
It was fate that has opened us the door
Of life!

dawn pulls down long veil
nyx dances beneath moonlight ~
crickets shriek with cheer
"Nyx" is the primordial goddess of night in Greek mythology
