Reflection lights the day
Deception veils the way

Do you flee, fight or freeze,
Or simply laugh and offer your hand

often lead us astray,
keeping logic at bay.
Satan tempts us with facts and statistics.
Lost in Gods radiance,
Abundant nature,
In feminine form
Tempts me with desire.
Hungry eyes bewitched
By the exotic
Thirsts for the divine
So she can be mine?
I seek perfection
Let her follow me.
Things that are forbidden,
We always try to seek..
That what is hidden,
Tempts us more to peek..
The forbidden has this lure,
A lure with no cure..
Its a game with no wins,
All are prone to this deadly sin..
Attractive colors shine,
Ample juicy pulp tempts
Almost everyday as
At breakfast I eat one,
Assured by ancient phrase -
An apple a day drives
Away the doctor far.
That smiley exterior
Onwards from morn
Once you had worn
Now drabbly overlayed with
Its own sort. Lorn.
I refer to this manor.
Old; ghostly blown
Tempts none; be known!
Droopy, empty windowed. Of
Ravens outflown.
This
gooey
and
oozing
chocolate
laden
cake,
tempts me,
beckons me,
it's weakening
my resolve
and as
the
icing
starts to drip
I feel
the
diet
end!

hallucinating the mind
tormenting the soul
darkness dispels light
sinister black shadows loom
unhinging spirit
an evil fiend tempts
execrable ideas
drowning to abysm

Precipice tempts to trek
Particularly me,
Partaking as trekker.

Postponed, are trials of today

I just bear through and endure because after the dark storm that tempts me with false promises of sweet release, I realize that after the dark storm, the clouds part to reveal the sun or moon and shine light and hint on a beauty that says that it gets better.
What magic doth new love possess
That tempts the moon at night,
To warmly glow, and fully so,
With beams of velvet light?
That gives the heart the will to smile,
And the sparrow, feathered wings--

Some things in life do not resonate
For they mostly only ever repulse
The saddest of humanity tempts fate
Or blames the heart for broken clarity
While the dutiful of mankind joins in love to protect entire communities
And seek out new purpose with grace while releasing senseless vanity.
