the
mighty mouse
who
dons
the
red cape
oh
what
mountain of strength
who
frightens
the
teary-eyed
gray elephant
Grimacing faces
With teary-eyed composure
Look out together
At their capped and gowned daughter,
Happy, yet sad, both know why.
Teary-eyed sad child
Mom's tickle now makes him smile
Look, he's laughing, too!

Attended a performance last night that blew me away
A concert in tribute of Gord Lightfoot, idol of my younger days
What glorious memories
Evoked teary-eyed reveries
A journey back in music, a gentler time it portrayed
Trying not to think...
Struggling...I start to sink
Twisting, yearning
Teary eyed & screaming!
Begging the Sand man--
To release me from my dreaming state
Afraid to negate all that I've acquired
My heart's on fire...
By the hands of a nameless lover.
Ring! There goes the bell!
It’s the last day of school!
I should be happy and I think I am.
But I will miss my little jewels.
I’m all teary-eyed and sentimental…
About these children whose lives I have shared.
Today they’ll go away and leave me.
I hope they’ll know that I really cared!

Empty
By Deanna M Malone
Afraid to live
not wanting to die
always teary eyed.
\Full of emotion
Yet empty inside.
\Lifes promises broken
I love you never spoken.
\I was given to you to love cherish
and protect.
\Another house
never a home.
\Roots never laid
friends never made
\I'm just a child you know
how will I ever grow.
Temperature rising
ocean air blows salt into
long sun kissed hair
music changes moods
from teary eyed lover boy
to angry ex-boyfriend
to lonely old man
poems fall like leaves from the trees
and litter the floor around the desk
words change hearts
and leave minds lost and
reeling
stealing
feelings

"FORGIVENESS"
"Implied?" ... "Theorized!"
"Her fate has already been decided ..."
"... and what of me ...?"
"Your fate will be defined."
Everything was packed from shirts to shoe laces,
Anyone could tell which was heavier - the sunken heart or the wrapped cases,
And she marched to say goodbye to all the teary eyed yet smiling faces,
Only to collapse into the arms of her beloved who beheld firmly and said-
This fight is unlike the rat races
For it’s a quest to be Ace among of the Aces!
Ode to my neighbor’s horrible cat
Disgusting behavior that little turd
Emphatically speaking I say that
Teary eyed for he killed my bird
One understands it is nature’s way
Couldn’t have let my parakeet live
All I could do was purple pray
That a dog will give him his
Teedee was our bird’s nickname
What a horrible death in vain
Ode to a crazy cat insane
I want to make you teary-eyed; I want to rend your heart.
I want to show you happy dreams, then tear them all apart.
I want to re-instill you with a purpose and a plan.
I want to lift you from the depths, and I'll do what I can ...
There's only one small problem, though I fear it's here to stay:
I want to share myself with you, but I don't know what to say.
13 December 2016
2 days after
We met at the mall
How magical it was
World was too small.
Teary eyed staring
When you walked in
I was just hoping
For a happy ending.
Pretty hurts
After our last fight
We ended up broken
Thought it was right.
I saw the smile
Blush on your face
Someone kissed you
It’s killing my day.
I felt the pain
Seen by everyone
You were too fast
To find your someone.
At every stop I see them wave
Their teary-eyed good byes
A final glance, they climb the steps
And find a seat inside.
And there they sit in separate worlds
Their faces to the glass
The rhythmic humming of the rails
As lonely hours pass.
If only in this world
We were less perfect fools
If only I could face
My own small face
If only you were on this train
Beside me
Perhaps I would be bound someplace.
Looks like my grandfather's father
over round brown with the second Grand
my visits tan round my hair receeds
Like his sounding wave
I breathe nostrils serenade
Puckered lips bouts pouts
Stuck out like a fish
Texas skin rough dried like oatmeal
Teary-eyed saddened by my hopeless cheeks and dimpled glance
I mirror myself and I Laugh and I look a, like my Grandpa

Are precious and wholesome
View them, share them or simply keep them
Smiling and teary-eyed sometimes
But even smile and laughter exudes
As we preserve them
In any way we want, be it in albums
Or in CD’s, PC’s and camera chips
As these are sweet nothings
Priceless, likened to a cherished heirlooms
For a life time sake.
Single or group pictures
Photogenic or not
But the best pose is with a special someone!
Though a lone rose in yonder bed
Blooms all alone in remoteness
Its regal grace reaches beyond
Its small cultivated confines.
Its blood-red petals capture
Sensuous eyes of passerby's;
Thoughts of love materialize
And some are stricken teary-eyed
By measured memories of love.
Then there are those aesthetic hearts
Who are dazzled by its beauty.
As for me, I assume that rose:
The empathy I have for it
I become its flowery soul.
That Kind of Day
The cat just hissed and slunk away
the dog low growled and hid,
squirrels sat teary eyed in tails,
sparrows still on ‘lectric rails.
Oil skin clouds sailing past
billowing dark pirates bones
sun, as hostage, tied to mast
moon in slivered shiver tones.
Cold steel shrapnel’s stinging touch
reddened cheeks unwanted blush.
The cat just hissed and slunk away,
it was just that kind of day.

As the tears begin to fall,
I try to keep standing tall,
And pretend that I'm okay,
But my face gives me away.
My tears I no longer hold
After what I've been told,
This crying feels good to me;
It helps set my pain free.
I'm a broken man on the inside,
Getting myself together I've tried.
The pieces slip through my fingers
As my pain sits there and lingers.
My hurting inside I can't tame
For this pain you're to blame
The pain I try to hide
But I can't do it teary-eyed.
Loud Whisper.
wide -eyed, teary-eyed
which tear was counted
every time i cried
heartless or just
thoughtless?
I'd like to scream
i'd like to shout
only a whisper slips out
can't go back to the girl I was
past scatttered like broken glass
how ever so haunting
the reflection of the
girl I use to be.
I'd like to scream
i'd like to shout
only a whisper slips out
can't go back to the girl I was
past scatttered like broken glass

My Zoom reunion had a part
That featured those who’ve died
And as the faces flashed on screen
I watched them, teary-eyed.
They chose to use their yearbook pics
So we could recognize
The way they looked in high school;
Still, it came as a surprise -
So many gone I used to know.
Of what, I have no clue.
In life, there are no guarantees
No matter what you do.
I’m glad the slide show featured
Photos taken way back when,
For seeing those fresh faces
Helped remember them again.
