I took a stroll, past the buffet, past the spray tans
and into a market of convenience.
They always have what i need.
Planned Parenthood never does.

It’s the curse of the bent over plumber
Those who look say “Oh what a bummer”
It’s so silky and white
It must glow in the night
Hope it tans by the end of summer

Love is sensed in us
A warming sun tans our skins
Gazing hide feelings
Code only soul mates know
Holding hands in the beach shore

Use Fans and Enjoy Tans
To overcome heat we should use fans;
Marble has collapsed in hole use spans;
Shells in my canister;
Slide down bannister;
Have exact amount of sun for my tan.

Bunny dreams up and down and all around
In technicolor, reds and pinks, no tans or brown.
Carrots, lettuce and radishes are dive bombing him.
He is excited to see it, loving his life, dreaming along on a whim.

Beautiful sunny days,
Shorts, tank tops, dresses,
Trips to the beach;
Burns, tans, and all that’s in between.
Ice cream, soda, games in the park,
Running around barefoot.
The days of Summer are finally here!

your eyes the color of the sky
your spirit soft pastels
your soul made up of warmer hues
shading in tans and orange
the color that I like the best?
the color of your heart
every beautiful hue there is
that makes up the color of love

On Jingxi River boatmen are very careful with big rocks found,
No news about boat-capsizing is heard all the year round.
But in smooth rivers where there are no dangerous rocks,
Victims are often heard to be drown without knocks.

Fine Fans With Tans
Around me gathered my each fine fan,
They say Poetry Soup did try to ban
Instead of being dead,
Called me marble head,
And caught writing poems in Ketchikan.

Hemp woven like cradle
Hanging on summer trees;
Haven of net drifts, as
Hands clutch iced lemonade …
Heat tans our skin, while breeze
Hums evening’s melody
Hushing thoughts, we unwind.

She was a rather bland woman
Dowdy, dressed in tans and browns
She did not share any history
I did not know any of her towns
She brought pumpernickel bread to work
And shared it with me, along with butter.
I did not care if she did not speak anymore.
It was fabulous with dollops of peanut butter.

to fall unto the

bronze and golden lands
ground colors of orange browns
and tans dehydrated

crunching crushing leaves
sprewed out all over terrain
dried dirty walkings

The wrongs are now righted
The Beatles have re-united
for that I expect to be knighted
but the queen might get frighted
so my lips would have to stay tighted
I must not remain unsighted
my soul may feel blighted
if touched by the mighted
the disiilusorily prided
whose tans should be hided
I don't need them or their fight!

Waking up to happinessville.
New fresh clean white canvases await my touch.
I begin painting with my favorite – the neon’s.
My husband walks by, offers to purchase new paints.
I roll my eyes and he laughs, knowing I only use my favorite colors.
Browns, grays, blacks, tans, and other dull colors are used sparingly.
I am a Gemini; my paintings reflect me.

Walking home down brick alleys,
I'd click my broken heels
off to feel bare feet on
fall's cold streets.
Sneaking home to an
apartment I lived in alone.
I'd watch the patterned
colors of row homes pass.
Greys, blues, and tans
sadly rolling down the hillside
in long stacks.
Sitting domino's on curved
ramps, just one push
and they could all collapse

I do not know?
Sea tides undulate
Salt saturates wide valleys
Fish leap helplessly
Seagulls laugh at moment’s spare
Desert sand surrounds
Lonely land mass residing
Brim with tourism
Festivals ignite the flame
Native culture dance
Parties prosper all around
Sun enlightens all
Skin tans from ash to brown dust
Reggae music blasts
Life turns to relaxation
This is paradise

Warm sun tans
Beach tourists
Seeking fun
In azure
Ocean waves
Surfers ride
Wood tables
Flouting tides
Children play
With the sand
Paddleboards
Young swimmers
In the shore
Swim for hours
Sunset hides
Golden disc
Ending day
Bringing night
Enjoyment
In hotels

Lady Autumn's here
She paints with magical brush
Reds,golds,browns, and tans
She's very graceful and quick
In the air hear her laughter
In the air hear her laughter
She's very graceful and quick
Reds,golds, browns, and tans
She paints with magical brush
Lady Autumn's here!

The Last Moment
The last moment of light
But it is not gone
The sun travels around the globe
The light is shared with every person
It feeds every plant
Warms the air around us
And tans every inch of our bodies
So, when the sun sets in the west
Just remember that it will be back
Unless it is really cloudy outside
Then you’ll have to wait … sorry

Underneath bottle caps of
Black and tans lies
A broken tragedy,
A hard fought battle of wit
And staring contests
Between myself and
The bottle
Between myself
And the green stuff
Between insomnia and addiction.
Shady characters disappear
Into the mind
Of the mentally touched,
When days and night morph into
One entity and this,
Reverse coma
Takes control,
Regardless what’s prescribed.

Kaleidoscopes Leaves---
soon the leaves will turn
turn unto burn, brown orange
there’ll be some yellows
be some reds, purples
and also some tans and blacks
all this for reason
withered fold falls test
tis the time changing seasons
soon the leaves will turn
soon the leaves will fall
summer falls turns autumn now
kaleidoscopes leaves

She covered me in paint.
Filling me with her outlook.
Standing there drenched we both laughed.
Her hands covered in acrylic.
She fed me apple sauce browns and pepperoni reds.
Banana cream tans as well as blueberry blues.
Her thoughts covered me in taste.
Hands warm to the touch.
Covered in paint I was identical to all her favorite things.
I became the table which she viewed the world.
Splashed in infatuation

Her husband wanted everything blah.
He loved tans, grays, and whites in the raw.
She was sad for a few weeks when he passed.
But then someone said “It is your chance, Mrs. Rast.”
She started out small with two colors – red and blue.
They boded well, so she added gold and silver too.
Her house is filled with colors that she loves; it doth glow.
Heavenly husband says wistfully, “I wish this had always been so.”
