Premium Member When All Is New
Water that is clear, cool
Bouncing over rocky creek bed
Flowing through rocky cleft
Looks like Palomino's tail
One that is being swished
Blown in a gentle breeze
On a spring morn when all is new...

walking noisily crunching underfoot

Swishing Leaves
Leaves fell like confetti, upon an autumn bride

Swirling in their multitudes, across the countryside.

Along the path I walked they lay, some were ankle deep

I took such childish pleasure, as I swished them with my feet.

The wind was fairly blowing, branches nearly bare

Cold Day At the Zoo
The ring-tailed lemurs swished their stripes;
The tortoises perambled.
Rhinoceroses munched on hay;

Premium Member Microbe the Master Magician
Microbe the Master Magician had a lot to say
He swished his cape in an all-knowing way
Deep inside his role, he did not laugh or play
Taking his costume seriously on Halloween day

Want to visit grandma down at the San Francisco Bay?
No thanks he said, she would not know me, Uncle Ray.

Three mice on a pumpkin getting the view.
I wish there were seven, said the little one, Lou.
Three is not enough, agreed the loudest one, Goo.
A ghost swished by in the wind, but forgot to boo.

What is wrong with him? Asked Lou and Good.
He must be stuck up said the pumpkin who grew.
The ghost gave them a nod and said “hello you two!”
Can’t he count? Asked the persnickety one named Goo....

Premium Member Magical World
Aroma of lilacs wafted to me as I peered in
Feeling the mysticism of magic, sensing hidden faeries
A gentle breeze coaxed me to come a bit closer
Intimidated by the reverence I felt, I held back.

A monarch swished past me, on her way
I heard the trill of a joyful robin and her young ones
Ancestral voices welcomed me, persuaded me to take a step
Inside the magical world of elves, gnomes, faeries, and flowers...
