a paradox juxtaposed ~ finds an oxymoron superimposed

The Joy of Birth the Sorrow of Death
I saw the face
of the Madonna weeping
superimposed on the Christmas tree
tears for the joy of Christ's birth
tears for the sorrow of Christ's death....

Now As Then Them As Us
they pass through
superimposed as it were
as is, as if they never passed
never left
all the time
all the space
all around
the pattern of the present
moving past
they hold us like their own
we are all together
now as then
them as us...

Listen to poem:
Jasmine petals fall same as ashes from burnt incense,
Superimposed the demised who lays in hallowed rest,
A jar and vase on a marble stone, near a picket fence,
A man of the Buddhist faith who fought with the best,
Died for his country, a faithful man was truly blessed.

Remembering “Stuff” 4/20/2018 Some memories, become asphyxiated by time, Others perish quickly, or retreat into the regions of non-recall; That leaves only a few, With a faint glow superimposed in our minds; Each is a souvenir of a recollection past, And some will remain until we breathe no more. A marvel of architectural grace
Needle-ended arches touching the space
Vaults that look imposed and superimposed
Ribbed ends that kiss the corners, hawk-nosed
Ornate spires like jewel fabrication
Fine flecks and fancies with fascination
Each segment shines with mystic touches.
Fusing faiths of temples, mosques, and churches

It has been growing upon me, this sense of extra exposure beneath another picture I’m beginning to surface to peer out like the moon behind dark branches. In these visions there is a pensiveness where light meets shadow, an emergence superimposed beneath my visual field it was as if I were witnessing the late works of an artist yet to be born.

Near ocean surf, buds bloom. Duet-sashay in silky dress. Side to side sway of locks. Teeny feet in tall grass. Brunette and strawberry blonde. Pinwheel-limbs like pale ballerinas. Midnight-bare without glass, Fairy-soles in overgrown freesia. Sisters in momentum of glee. Brushed eyes, opened and closed. Dreamers adrift on waft canvas. Ebb-flow of pink stars, superimposed.

Sonorous, saporous symphonies: strong;
Soothingly spiritual, sublime sweet songs.

Seismically sensitive subsurface screens;
Substandard systems severe shakes scarce seen.

Searing sharp satirists, snarkily snide;
Subtle smart sophists show soft, specious side.

Skimpy, salacious shows sell sexy spice;
Somber, sad serials scarcely suffice.

Sans similarities, superimposed;
Sequencing syllables, simple supposed....

It's a term coined
for the times

propelled by actions
ceremoniously indulged

whimsically by the populace.
It's growing daily,

masses in tune
bubbling to surface

rife with rebellion.
Senseless conventions

imposed by the machine,
discrepancies enlightened

with blinding rays
of rationality

superimposed upon circumstances.
Keeping up the fight

against all odds
baffling to mindfulness

as they scramble to react
to tides of mistrust....

You Would Think....
You would think that
the true greatness of mankind
would be to assist and promote
the greatness of others....

But...the overinflated ego
deflates, with it's superimposed image...
squezzing out the last ounce of fortune
to feed it's own hunger and thirst
......for power,
where it finds itself
surrounded by the powerless,where
it finds itself now,most powerful...

You would think that
true greatness,is in the support of...
versus the comparitive opposite

You would think.....?...
