Autumn Forest
Cathedral woods.
Sunlight streams
through stained glass windows—
mosaic of yellow and red.

Tree pillars
hold up the sky dome,
wind organ whispers.

Orange and crimson,
sassafras and sumac
light the path.

On the altar in my heart
the chalice
overflows....

Autumn Ambrosia
Oak and maple trees turn to wines
As summer's final sumac twines
To autumn's cool amaretto scent
Among the season's soft lament.

The lattices of amber rose
Turn skeletal with fall's repose.

The final phase of new moon's chill
Brushes autumn upon the hill,
While fall's ambrosia soothes our fears
Of winter's cool crystal chandeliers....

Premium Member Autumns Cold Gray Sky
Sky as gray as fresh concrete. Cold like her too. Jet plane noise permeates
atmosphere, but we cannot see it yet. Plants are brown except for red sumac.
A flaming reddish blue, high class red. Winter is waiting in the clouds to be
summoned. Autumn sighs, not ready to relinquish her season.

			         autumns cold gray sky
		          her browning up is complete
		                  jet plane noise ahead...

I Am Not Poison
There are many types,
 of poisons, like poison ivy,
hemlock, sumac, we also
have belladonna, and arsenic.

I am not poison, neither
have venom, nor a virus…

Why have I not, heard from
you for such a long time…

Did I say something,
that you didn’t like?

You can call or you come
over whenever you want…

I am not toxic, nor am
I venomous, nor do
I have a virus...

I am not poisonous…
