Story Telling
My story begins as all others,
jealousy, love, failure, success,
enlightenment, struggle,
happiness and despair.
As the leaf turns revealing-
the end, my tale.
Has more to be told.

Oh wait I forgot the bard......

A COWBOY
A cowboy stormed into town
He seems to be hell bound
To challenge and fight
Cuz he was uptight
But he came to an end
When he challenged an old friend
Who was quicker and real fast
Who clocked him in his ass
He’s not here anymore
So, they closed the door

Happiness
he'll think of her
and what she is
perhaps what she was
perhaps what she never sees
in the sweet evenings of summer
nights became morning
endless laughs and story telling
she is what she is and
she might see what she's worth

- she deserves the first letter of each line...

Story,
reading time now,
for the kids to enjoy,
then story-telling time will start,
all the children will listen intensely,
and they will laugh, be silent, or
they may even cry some,
listening to
story.

Premium Member A Story Telling What Cannot Be Told
A noun

Such as nothing

Seems as permanent..

A verb seems moving

And temporary and

A denizen of spacetime..

The story continues:

A noun is verbing

Seemingly storying

Hinting at wholeness..

Which completes yet

Another story telling

What cannot be told......

tiger cat was scary the first little bit
stopped Marta in her tracks as she saw fit
Come closer dearie, said the large tiger cat
Let me down some light kibbles as we have a chat
When she saw his humor and story-telling skills
she got over her fear of possibly becoming one of his kills...

No Wall Flower
First date
Always seem measured
With the right weight
Attire matching
His and hers
Place picked with honor
Pictures to keep
At hand
Leading story telling
Signs
Flowers or jewelery
Candy at times
Decisions with wings to fly
Hoping on both parts
This one will be the one
Long lasting
A year or more
Taking home inspections...

Premium Member She Was a Story Teller
She was a woman full of stories.
They oozed out of her and onto her skirts.
When she shook them, verbs and adjectives flew onto the floor.
I watched them congregate around her ankles
Forming run-on sentences.
No wonder story-telling is so easy to her
She doesn’t even need a muse
She has all the fixings at her fingertips and her toes...

For You To Complete
He had been very verbose with his vernacular;
Should see results which were so spectacular
And we learned what he had been left with
Was moving and later became a romantic myth.

Finish it and create name that is nuministic
Before all our bodies end up going ballistic.

Gripping The Future
Friend from far
has come to visit
me, a long time.

We're astounding
ourselves, facing
all gray hairs.

We suddenly laugh
cause gone the days
our youthful prim.

Two cups of tea
made our hours
bright, story-telling.

He's soon to retire
in the army, I, an
ordinary citizen.

It was all end in hullabaloos
reminiscing past
and gripping our future....

LEPRECHAUN II
Upon walking I saw
The cutest lil thing
A dressed-up leprechaun
Carrying a shillelagh stick
With a long pipe in his mouth
And circles coming from his ears
It looked like rings of fire
Oh dear, oh dear, it was
Coming from his extra-long beard
As he strutted along, not a care
In the world, he starts to spin as
He twirls and twirls, unleashing
A strange glare
...

Premium Member Chalky Candy Hearts
Sitting in the bowl a bit chalky
colored story telling candy;
Timeless messages sent melt hearts;

Romance lives within these hearts,
updated verse but still written chalky;
Lovers still trade flowers and candy;

Sweet on you, lips taste like candy;
Sugar buzz from fluttering hearts,
after taste leaves my mouth chalky;

An old tradition of chalky candy hearts....

Sow One Seed
With you, I am well-agreed
Once you will sow one seed
Like life will come and go by
Began born and one day do die.

Now if some time I will take
What can become when I make
An acquaintance and give a gift
God my spirit He will uplift.

Jim Horn

PS. If you never know how
Would you now be a sow?

Ringo and the Cowboy
A cowboy rode in with guns drawn
After tracking Ringo since dawn
Who had given him the slip
After busting him in the lip
In a town call Shoot-me Pawn
Ringo tracks were quite near
And it led the cowboy here
Who searched the whole town
After drinking and messing around
Causing Ringo to catch him off guard
Giving the cowboy a nice hair part
Who shoots putting Ringo down...

A Heavenly Haiku
A Heavenly Haiku

It all started out
Until it has been finished,
And the I thanked God.

It was then that I
Told all of my friends goodbye;
Not see them again.

Why did it happen?
Gave up and what is the use;
Then I cried and cried.

To heaven I went,
Not worrying anymore;
God again adore.

Friends
One. two, three sitting all together.
Smiling and laughing.
Story-telling and gasping.
Promising of keeping secrets.
Crying together other regrets.
Up and downs; back and forth.
Helping each other; teaching worth.
Talking about boys:
one they love and their toys.
In fashion what is hot...
who is and who is not.

Hurt one another: never!
Because they're best friends forever...

An Exposure Horn Haiku
An Exposure Horn Haiku

Had been a bad blend
And no one want to offend
Who should this I send?

Came a bulldozer
Creating poor exposure
Now am not so sure.

From earth took big bite
Was it Islam or Shiite
Suffer day and night.

We started to see
All our foreign policy
Will not set us free.

Still Trending
Anna called her mother today
Out of the blue and the pink
To talk about something new

A quick story telling - like Madonna
About a passionate drunken kiss
With her roommate one night
On a streetcar not named desire

She described the kiss to her mother
In grand and lengthy romantic detail
What it felt like to kiss a woman
Knowing full well that the encounter
Meant nothing to her...

Premium Member Words Are the Paint
Ideas and images in the mind burst forth in words.
Descriptions are the paint on the paper or screen.
Vivid hues in the jars. blended to create a feeling.
Finding just the right tint can be daunting.
But when it finally flows like paint on canvas,
It picks up tempo and takes on a personality of it's own.
it takes over your hand and guides it to bring forth the images.
In a poetic or story telling form. It's a wonderful feeling....
