Premium Member A Long Goodbye
haste away now
a quick farewell,
such sweet sorrow:
with much sadness
I pen
this song.
My heart
dwells in
our secret place,
passionless
'til your return,
'ere long.
Begone,now
your image
will stay,fresh
in my mind's eye.
God's speed
Goodbye..
haste away now
a quick farewell
such sorrow.....

Strong Heart
That sweet determined spirit,
That stubborn faith to win,
That strength to conquer,
That beautiful strong Heart,
Stand firm - My strong Heart.

My tenacious heart,
My glowing smile,
My awakening passion,
Ain't we so perfect together?
Stand firm - My strong Heart.

Stay fresh,
Stay revived in wisdom,
Stay infallible in discernment,
Stay proficient in love,
Stand firm - My strong Heart....

Premium Member Hunger and Taste
Nature's curse, putting the whole to sober
but when over-stretched, can sting like rubber
comfort and strength all in a bad set
the body's freedom, limited by an inner corset

physiological redemption coming through water
instinctive drive to swallow the sea
any coloured liquid, tantalizing as tea
an inevitable cycle to constantly stay fresh
preserving the functionality of a dying flesh...

We Had the Best Love By Far
I didn't want to forget you The thousands picture of you Lodged in my heart. We share so much in a short time, So much I learned from you. Reminders of you stay fresh, Pain is unrecognizable, Not a glimpse of hope in this Darkness. If this wall could talk, You'd know about my fears. It's cold making me feeling less. Shadows cast across the floor, Reflection of the past. Ashtrays fill with sleepless nights, A tear I shed for loving you, We had the best love by far.

Expiry Date
Look at this darn marriage certificate,
A piece of paper that has sealed our fate,
If packed things can’t stay fresh,
So does mind, human flesh,
But still I see no such expiry date!

Poet’s note: Seeing her husband pouring over a piece of marriage certificate, she asks if anything was wrong.

By oversight this limerick is repeated (though with differing text), the earlier one dated 03.03.15....
