The pursuit
Three blackbirds
Are chasing a young seagull
In circles, they fly
Until the gull
Find an opening
It flies
Toward the ocean.
The blackbirds
Cannot
Following the gull
There.
They return
Sit in a tree
And squawks
Among
Themselves
bird
watching
a couple
embracing life
in the magick of love and their closeness
wonders why they're not paying attention
to his flustered
squawks and stomps
because
he
is
alone
and not with
his own true love
he is a pigeon on a soul mission

chirping away before dawn~

as eerily shrills echo~
ominous mantra
plumed wings cast shadows

birds hidden in nests
quietly guarding fledglings ~

a night heron squawks

Quick and swift, dash away
