Today I splurged on a steak.
Thick with the fat trimmed close
Seasoned - broiler - aroma
Taste buds squirt delight
Juice runs down my chin
Ambrosia
Burp!

Splurged on the weekend, ate myself silly
Paying for it now, scale said. “get off you nilly”
One at a time, please
Treat me with ease
Quite sensitive you know, like a young filly

Graffiti on the wall that you call yours for your communication;
Someone else paints it all over, different lines, zigzag, splodges, splurged, fiery captions
Can I not erase my own wall and start all over again?

SHARING
Stopped in a winery.
Splurged on chilled bottle of
sparkling Moscato wine,
salted, crispy crackers,
soft goat cheese to nibble.
Shared stories, goals, plans and
splendid time with daughter.

Verse
There once was a lady from VanYoddel
Dreamt of extending mirrors to dawdle
Clung so long to that wish
Made her feel feverish
Splurged for the wrinkle remover model

Limerick
It's the third verse,
I got the urge to purge
All the curt words I've splurged,
I've submerged in sin,
I'll go to church repent,
Then go curse again,
Lets reverse this trend
We nurse tolerance,
When it might offend,
If I white wash my fence,
So try to not get tense,
When I do not defend,
Those who chose to be dense
And not use their two cents,
To show kids the reverence,
For the pledge of allegiance.

Lyric
Echoes float free
In jolly spree
Wild moments cast
Glimpses now past
The moment here
Erupts with cheer
Recall those times
Frolic splurged chimes
Laughter and glee
Set all things free
Now gone away
Those happy days
Seek thus to know
New pulse that grows
Serious notes stay
Upon the way
Touch and feel good
Despite lost moods
Go on your way
Live well each play
