Had Been Spell Bound
I had been spell bound
Had heard great voice and its sound
That made my heart pound.
Jim Horn
The storm has passed, now we must move on,
"don’t even try to understand," know only
that we enjoyed this moment together
I see a snail shell,
Which I'll use to cast a spell,
So all shall be well.
To the Universe I tell
A wish for life to be swell.
want to hear from you
not with you laying it out
but in clangs and chimes
that evoke my own response ~
easier to write that way
complete peace accord
given to us by the Lord
can always afford
what we would wonder
spell God had left us under
never makes blunder
they sing to me enchant
the power of your words

Imperfections. All that each
Can but emphasize
In its earthly guise.
Angelic world, which reflects
Young woman's beauty
Is this! Is yours! See?
INK'S SILENT SPELL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
quill scratches parchment~
midnight whispers bloom to worlds
unseen, yet breathing
I was educated once - it took me years to get over it.
Mark Twain
at least I can still count to ten and spell cat
For my loves kisses,
Are like a witches spell,
For her lips are,
Soaked with enchantment,
Dripping with rare sweetness,
Forever imprisoning my lips.
With roots in hell,
beware her spell.
Poison to sell,
keeping you well.
Masking the pain,
in no way sane.
Frying the brain,
life down the drain.
It turns out he couldn’t spell
Not even his name simple Nell
Wore a dunce cap in class
Told his peers to kiss his ass
Boy, did they have a story to tell
Whispering winds, echoes of will,
Let the sounds of your voice be all that I feel,
Come inside offer your essence,
Inside my soul I invite your presence.
Form:
“Place this cloak around you and blink six times
You will then hear three chimes
When your body begins to shudder
You’ll be invisible to your own mother!”
From din of day,
Till death holds sway,
In grave you lay...
Ha, solitude!
The reign of hush,
Where the worms rush,
Dust to dust crush...
Ha, quietude!
bewitching she glared
onyx eyes
raven hair
jet black gown
graceful and sinister
with her heart of stone
and poisoned lips
The life of a magicians cat is dread
Especially when old spells are misread
He magicked a canary
But alas, O'contrary
I ended up in the darn cage instead
This is the most useful spell in the universe,
You can will a person to forget,
You and the trouble passes.
A simple wave of the hand,
And they let you pass.
Sordidly
Inside the forbidden
Only to make me
Never what to return again
ah well the spell,
no logic shall,
explain the magnetic draw,
when you were mine,
all was sublime,
a battered heart still sore...
Don
Rooted in gold,
I rise in a wave.
Flow returns.
Strength reclaims.
It comes on the tide.
In skies, my mind rides.
The Cosmos cleans
My mind is in golden dreams.
Moonstruck in your eyes tonight.
The reflection is most enticing and bewitching.
I’m sublimely under your spell.
Tho there're poets here of highest rank,
I have noticed - and let me be frank -
that in spite of sweet prose,
this site has more type-o's
than Count Draculas private blood bank!
Two googly eyes and baby teeth
“I need them,” said Wizard O’ Keefe
They’ll help me make a spell
To create a fart smell
And upset our stepfather Keith!
