Rupture
Sensing the future
Out of reality's reach
I had to take flight
Breaking the sound barrier
Into alternate timeline...

Chilli Sound Barrier
I have a seatbelt and a helmet in the loo
Eating chilli, precaution is a have to
With the flame from my rear
It was any mans fear
The G force in a spit second was zero to mach 2...

Driving Miss Daisy Crazy
She feigned deafness hearing Hoke's corny jokes,
often why the chicken crossed the road,
Hoke yelled louder,
broke sound barrier,
Miss Daisy at the end of her rope.

Trickling
Confetti trickles like running water.
Trickle, trickle, trickle—
I hear trickling...
Sound barrier insulation omits tones.
The party carries on.
Bits of pieces remain stagnant.
But I can still hear trickling . . .

   Apple sells some fancy watches
     and so do other companies
   But I'll stick with my 'extra-alarm,' ruby-red 'fireman's clock'

   I just place it next to the bathroom door
     ~ when I need to go and the dang thing's locked

Premium Member Music Makes Me Speed
Happy Together comes on the radio.
I can handle this; I try hard to keep my car under seventy.
Now it’s Cher. She is singing Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves.
I push the pedal to the medal, I am twenty-one again.
Tina comes on. She is singing Proud Mary.
I dare not look at the speedometer.
I am breaking the sound barrier.
Forgetting I am a grandmother
Forgetting I am old....

Thinking Out of the Box
Sound carries through the wind
The words you speak could be anywhere
Although silent after you speak
Wind will carry them afar

For without sound we would not exist
We once broke the sound barrier now common
Sound can heal and kill
Ultra sound can see

Ears will hear these silent words
Not knowing where they came from
Entering someone’s mind
Capturing your sound

Carried by the wind...

A Korean War veteran
with a yearning to fly,
having tasted that feeling
of floating with the clouds,
that feeling of hanging
suspended in utter quiet,
of wanting to reach out
and gather the stars,
that incredible feeling of riding
the sky, sitting in God's lap.

A memory that would not fade,
but called him back and back,
until he returned to the skies
in a Cherokee 235, and flew
coast to coast, city to city,
like the wind that blows
where it will....

Premium Member Shredding
Stoic, the mic stand is circumspect
of all the energy in the room;
Waiting but will not remain unchecked;

Calm throughout the process of load in
now leading this layout of the stage;
Headlining’s a stroke of good fortune;

Crowd awaits the collective player
as that set list is taped to the floor;
High is their hum that hangs in the air;

Limelight’s on as the amp starts smiling
eager to take them all to the edge;
Breaking that sound barrier shredding....

When I Run, I Break the Sound Barrier
When I Run, I break the Sound Barrier

Moving through stagnant space
The world’s inertia pulls against my rebelling figure
Frantically trying to impede my speed

My ears
Fill with the rhythmic wind
Of my breath
My blood racing life to
My extremes

I can’t hear…
my mother
my students
my ex

I can’t hear
my failures
my insecurities
my problems

I see only the road
Create only sweat
Race only myself

My goal--
Hedonistic Exhilaration
as the barriers
Explode...
