Mystical crystals
Falling softly from the sky
Look to the Heavens
Look to the Angels above
Snowy Christmas wonderland
the snowy mountains
are silent and without life
a yeti appears
i wonder if i am just
imagining company
for Susan’s tanka contest
White bright
Yellow eye
Snowy owl
Tumbling in
The Arctic wind
Stiff claws
Clamping down,
Through the
Seagull's heart, again
Mystical crystals
Frigid snowflakes from the sky,
Ice on the cold ground,
A white blanket from above;
Crystalline white everywhere.

snowbird, whistles on tree top

A snowy day in March
And through the grey silenced day
the whispers of birds
Forlorn in the eyes of man
Fantasy of a progressing spring
GQ guy hot and sexy.
Voted playmate sensation of the winter months.
Envy of all previous centerfolds.

Snow falls and day light dims
As the snow get so thick that it covers my Rims.
As the sun goes down we play around,
Snowball fights and as the day loses light.
Pure white shawl
In the ravine steeps
Shining snow
Red rose peeps
Crystalline sky greets warmly

Frosty the Snowman wore a jaunty hat,
He danced on the lawn and tipped his old cat.
He said, “I will melt, but not today!”
Then he slid down the hill, or so they say.
Snowflake in winter
showing stillness and kindness
forgotten at spring.
__________
Snowcastle is strong
emotion of winterland
New clothes on the trees.
__________
The owl gazed upon the forest
As though the whole world was his fortress.

Beautiful winter bright snowy day
A silver field in moon-lit night
Crystal-like ice trees of snow
Icey ponds like mirrors
Soft snow drops on skin
Joy of snowmen
Smoothe powder
Snowflakes

wise tale of
a snowy white owl
There is something about pure white snow on the ground
a cold bite in the air and nothing really on the agenda
Should I bake? Rest? Write? There are lots of possibitlities
and today is going to be a good day!

flakes of luscious beauty

a sprinkling of white flecks
tinkling without a sound
its veil of peace over one and all
in serene silence as if time were eternal

Imagine sweet winter, through wishing white snow,
Leaves trees and foliage, with a delicate glow.
With the children off sledding, and the cocoa so sweet,
'Tis no wonder why winter, is such a great treat!
snowy blue mountain
double beauty double good...
icy frozen heart
snow on the mountain
fire in hearth a certainty...
slow ignited fire
Thanks for the challenge

As time pours over me
Laughing stars meet my stare
My morning existence
Worthless in your absence
When eyes open sunken
A bruised halo
Circles their movements
Every direction searched thoroughly
You are not there
I am not here
Winter skies painted gray
More snow is on the way
Winds are howling once again
Here comes the freezing rain
Winter always has a snowy plan
Build a snowman if you can
Then put on him a carrot nose
and watch as it snows and snows!
