Two
Slip off the pants
White satin sheet
Two lovers dance
Then fall to sleep....

God Is Good
GOD IS GOOD TO US
DON'T MAKE FUSS
NO COMPARISONS
NO APPREHENSIONS
DON'T SLIP OFF FROM TRUST
LIFE BECOMES WORST
LIVE WITH ANTICIPATION
AVOID TENSION...

Premium Member Curve
hand cups a breast
fingertips trace lips and thighs
learning curves of love

crescent lid of light
In frozen glass marbled eyes
penetrates

Yoke, spills, dilates sun
Noble thick mourning tears
Drop, slip off a dome sky...

Sultry Sweetness
Sultry sweetness
Caught on a paper cloud
As a wet surface
Oozes with harmonious reflection
And while that letter
Speaking of daring devotion
And intrepid infatuation
Plummets to the saturated soil
The words slip off the paper
Like tears from her cheek...

Way Out
I feel my way
within this space
conducted safely
by the seasons

hand over hand
along the fence
of my settled
course of days

securing myself
at the posts
of my reliable
cycle of hours

I slip off the trail
through the cracks
on the barrier-free
crossings of time...

Global Warmng
If you live in North Dakota
it’s hard to get all hot about
global warming in the winter

while you watch the snow
clog your wipers and you
slip off the road but if you

own a factory that makes
short-sleeve shirts you know
global warming is a hoax.

Now Gone
The dying embers in the fireplace
Reminds me of satin and your silken embrace
Gently you slip off without a trace.

Cascading memories from dawn to dusk
Lingering scent of roses and musk
From life’s golden garden bed plucked.

Sinking sun setting sea on fire
Leaving behind untamed desire
Now shimmering, now gone....

The Day Before
Why did I not listen
to my jangling nerves
the day before?

Why did I ignore
the sensation of
tips of fingers on fire
the day before?

Why did I not slip off
my rose-tinted glasses
to see what really
lay ahead of me
the day before?

My body and mind
were screaming at me
"DON'T DO IT!!"
the day before
I wed....

Sing To Me Saturn
Send me up into space to live in the night sky.
Along Saturn's rings, I'll dance along to my own beat.
Turning in circles as I pretend the planets revolve around me
Until I slip off the edge and float away.
Running into stars as I make my way through space
Neptune is next, and then Mars another day.

Estranged
Break into my life
Lock the cracked door
Slip off your shoes
Your creaking clothes
Sneak into my bed
Uncover my soul
Sweeten the sunrise
Caffeinated yet cold
Caress my regret
Callous naked me
Hold my heartbeat
Broken and in need
Whisper perfume
In ears of neglect
Call convalescence
In stale dusty vents
Wipe my eyes
Estranged with shame
Show me forgiveness
Your face again...

Flutter My Butterfly
When I close my eyes you come crawling
stirring up my soul
diving in my dreams
delving thru my seams

Flutter my butterfly with vestigial wings
let me chase after you
where the catail do sing

Fly over hilltops seduced by the sea
slip off to the sunshine
and visions of me

Enter my pasture where waters run deep
place your wings upon my shoulders
and let yesterday's sleep...

Heartbreak Once Ate Half of Me
i lit fire in my chest
each time it blazes, i breathe blue smoke,
maybe heartbreak is another death that burn us alive.

i make sour song out my voice when i cry,
i slip off from the bed while asleep
& heave myself to the wall.

i have known life do not always bring you everything,
but i know the taste of heartbreak.
there are ways love will break you into emptiness,
& ways we struggle to carry it on our shoulders....

Rising Passion
As Christmas is lite
I watch the screen of nothing
All I see is your smile your glow
That smile that could stop time
I hope I pray if only time stopped
We could hold another firm
Hearing the chatter of hearts
Trying to beat as one
As we intertwine our fingers
Pressing our lips against each other
Tongues moving in motions
Body temperature warming
Our Emotions growing
And Ecstasy rising
As we slip off in to our world...

New Life
What became of me, where did I slip off at
A past long forgotten stirs inside of me
Memories and photographs

Faces long forgotten, names I'll never recall
but voices in my mind,
flashes before the fall

Today is new, and yesterday is past
fresh is time, today will last....
only for a moment

Awake today, from a dark black hole
thank God for friends who care...

Mortality is real today
when death seemed only a breath away...

Drag Strip Heat
The thunder roar of a dragster, really stirs my blood,
I would always slip off to the strip when I was young.
My dad always knew right where I"d be,
on the very front, where I could see.
A scolding I'd get, when he got me home,
but after he was asleep, this girl was gone.
All my buddies so much older than me,
my protection against the drag strip creeps.
Now I watch dragsters on the TV,
as they bring back, some of my favorite memories....

One of Our Angels Is Down!!!
Heavenly hysterics,
wholly unprecedented
in the lofty clouds of love
How did one slip off?
Was there someone who did shove?

Gather the Vanguard of Angels
for the rescue,
We've got no choice but to
save him before his soul
is led askew

Trumpets blaring,
Angels mounted on
angelic steed,
Race into the fray,
Bravely, yes indeed

Overwhelming demonic
defenses,
Returning with their prize,
If you could but see it,
The gleam in God's all
seeing eyes...

Untitled
Lonely surrounds me,

Shadows around me,

Crows are cheering,

But no one is there,

Mindless wonder of things in the past,

If I could die would it be worth it,

To just slip off the edge of this pitiful place,

Into a sleep of mangled embrace,

If seeing is believing,

Then my sight has failed me,

Because I no longer see the good in life,

And if this life has nothing left for me,

Then I wish to no longer be haunted by it,

So if you please just leave me be!...

Draining
Darkness overcomes the light
Draining the dew from the sun
Alone with my heartache I fail

Memories blow hard surrounded
The twinkles have lost their shine
Words uttered have been silenced
Trembling   I await my final fate

Shadows slip off into solitude
Laden lies another storm
My mind hums a dreaded tune
But my soul still marches forth

Winds rest now  for I am weary
These arms can not hold on
Restore her to the way she was
Let distant desire lead her home...

Today

today arrives like yesterday's news,
taughting, drenched in night-sweats....

laughing at futile gestures, asleep in the womb,
like clown faces, unable to touch the bright Sun...

emergency sirens practice the ending, once a month,
on Wednesdays, at one-o'clock sharp....

warming to the drill, I step outside,
and find the pavement calming.....

knowing I won't slip-off the Earth's Edge today,
knowing I won't slip-off....

                                     ....today...
