Draining

Darkness overcomes the light Draining the dew from the sun Alone with my heartache I fail Memories blow hard surrounded The twinkles have lost their shine Words uttered have been silenced Trembling   I await my final fate Shadows slip off into solitude Laden lies another storm My mind hums a dreaded tune But my soul still marches forth Winds rest now  for I am weary These arms can not hold on Restore her to the way she was Let distant desire lead her home

Easy to get lost in a storm, Tim. Let's hope her desire is a compass and home is magnetic north.
