Six kids one toilet

Squeeze tight the cheeks
Such drama, nobody speaks


Hands that tell lies
Search for brittle memories
Clutch at the past
As it fades away


Don’t like the cold
It pinches my cheeks
to make breath clouds

I am so unhappy. 
More than when I wanted to suicide. 
I recently had  a puppy. 
Life was really is do or die 
He did nothing, not even an ID. 
poor little dog
lucky little dog 
in and out like a 
In beloved memory 
ambition is  a pointed point. 
one in six maybe one day I will die. 
that will be all right. 
what will be left remains. 
And a few regrets

I opened the package.
Another one from mom.

Neath all the wreckage
her handwriting still beckons some.

Was framed with two pics
first was nineteen sixty five.

Seven parents, thirteen kids all
(the eighth parent took the pic).

Flash forward forty years.
Now the second pic.

Six parents (one dead the other divorced)
thirteen kids all came together

in celebration
and grieving, framed for all time beautifully....

Six a.m. one morning…I got a surprise

Jumped in the shower before I opened my eyes

Not even dawn...so in my rush

I twisted the knob and out in a gush

I felt like I had jumped in a cold creek

"Holy smokes!" I said with a shriek

I warmed up eventually, but don’t you worry

That lesson will teach me not to be in a hurry

The contest came on yesterday
to roll your rim again.
The time going into rolling them
from here to there and then.

To win a prize for certainty.
The odds at six to one.
Just knowing that I'm drinking all
to up until there's none.

The winners often coming back
to get their fill of food.
The likely prize for everyone
especially if it's brewed.

And still I go on rolling them
with prizes on my mind.
Enjoying every coffee made
that each cup has to grind....

The basket of Easter stars has arrived.
Okay, the poser Easter bunnies said.
We can be there shortly.
They envisioned divvying up the Easter stars.

Six for one, seven for the other.
While they were picturing their loot,
The real Easter bunny picked up the entire basket.
Taking all thirteen stars, as was his due.

When the poser bunnies arrived they found a poser basket.
These are not the true Easter stars! One of them said.
Poser bunnies, poser stars, said the Easter elf....
