Between the slices of soul
frozen feelings configure
the lattice of desolation
with ashes of singed desire
that soar in a silent way.

My Sky Burns

my sky burns
I smell the acrid smoke
taste the ash on my lips
a thirst unquenched
my skin hot from the heat
my soul singed
my heart incinerates

Premium Member Billowy Smoke

Ignored, forgotten singed and blackened
Manuscripts of misguided thoughts
Tossed to the fireplace but forever
Impinged on brain cells expelled as billowy smoke

Nightmare

Pungent sounds sullen, sullying,
Feelings stark, severe, stressful,
Aflame, singed, searing, smoldering,
Thoughts surging, seeping, slinking,

Placid…As my eyes awaken…

Pixie

Bigger and bigger the balloon he blew
As he sat in comfort on the bamboo
          He laughed he singed
          The guitar I stringed
Then from the deep forest he withdrew

Whinge binge

We're all tinged by whole dull whinge binge

Cringe impinged by that losing cull twinge

Singed fans on fringe mull know does hinge

On our soul & sole syringe of flaming ginge

Were Startled and Cringed

Were Startled and Cringed

We had become startled and then cringed,
Loser Trump lashed out and was unhinged;
We would wonder,
About his thunder;
His stupid hair looked ugly like it is singed.

marshmallow earth
spinning on gravity's stick
hovering over embers of the sun
perfectly singed
life begins-is
quickly overdone
licked by the embers of the sun
marshmallow earth
burnt to a crisp
deserted

Republicans Became Unhinged

Republicans Became Unhinged

Again all the Republicans  became unhinged;
To hear their idiocy,  we have often twinged;
As we feared,
Then appeared;
Trump's ugly orange hair he so often singed.

If You Were a Song

if you were a song i would memorize your every word until they were singed in to my memerory for eternity, and only speak in the tone of
your key along with your melody, and perfect ever instrument in you so i could play you endlessly.

Fire blazes the forest
Scorched birds fly away to build new nest
Ashes settle in seared history to dowse and rest.
Anger burns the mind
Brazen thoughts flare to find revenge blind
Serene sanity makes singed senses calm and kind.

Touched By Your Flame

I fly to your flame
I am touched by your flame
I am singed by your flame
I am burned by your flame
I am destroyed by your flame
again,
again I fly
to be touched
to be singed
to be burned
to be destroyed
again I fly to your flame

Listen to poem:
Hi, butterfly,
Hi, mister moth,
I singed my wings,
Close to the
           ~~~flame?
You hate the light?
No, mister moth.
Love the light, but,
Sun is too
        ~~~far!

Rain Darkened

.

Rather strange,
but during a slow downpour,
the darkness glows
behind the watery outlines
of the wet treetops
tonight.

The yellow halo
of the lamp post quivers
like a moth singed
by the dark flames
of the rain-darkened
night.

.

Puncture Wound

The needles are numbered
The heart beats few
The mind emptying
The tale of raven's hell
Rapping at the door
The flesh singed to ashes
Fire in the air
The brittle fragments
Jagged to the bone
The weeping iris
One last breath
As the needle passes through

Nine Eleven

from twisted metal singed and charred an empire falls, with many scarred time of uncertainty looms life of austerity booms left unconnected. slain-ed on the banks of insanity, uncertainty and unprotected solely for the riches of vanity.

My Path Unbroken

Refusing to be labeled,
  rejecting type and cast

With choices so enabled,
  my freedom first and last

All fantasy as token,
  its myths now cast aside

My path remains unbroken,
—false branding singed with lies

Dreams Wandering

The moonlight?
singed him at night.
How will you write a poem ?

       *

Standing at window,
you watch a shooting star?
hearing a cuckoo’s two-note call.

        *

Picking red hollyhocks,
your face swims before me,
and fleeting time !

Premium Member Banana Flambeau

Banana Flambeau,
is very fine fare.
It isn't well known,
that's why it's so rare.
They lit it on fire,
and singed Nana's hair,
The damn place went wild.
gave us a scare.
Old Nana's alright,
Just a wig, not her hair.
Although Banana Flambeau,
can be Dangerous Fare.

Past Caring

Love barbs singed my heart, churning feelings of revulsion, flying topsy turvy in every nook and cranny in the heart that once whisked feelings in which I basked with hope, delight and anticipation.

Fed up I wanna break
Free of the shell I now elect
To wrap, cast in my past.

Listen to poem:
lost in delusion
swept up by
the winds of time

what's left under the veneer
but a lingering longing that haunts
without guiles or prejudice

walking through the desert of my mind
singed past blurry sunsets
over yonder burnt horizons

swoooosh ~

My sad life story lacks glory. Fathomless singed pain bears my name as echoed in gray rhapsody. My sad life story lacks glory and will bruise thru eternity for no quietus seeks its aim. My sad life story lacks glory. Fathomless singed pain bears my name.
