Hopeless
from sky falls rainbow,
as clouds lose silver lining -
dreams deferred drifting
huddle of hoodies
crests flashing
the dark river's grace
*Hooded Mergansers
We prayed to evade Delta Strain
God dumped on us buckets of rain
Trump spoke to the sky:
"There's no need to cry
My tax returns washed down the drain!"
Listen to poem:
Happy-go-lucky alive and free
Joyful in all weathers
Embracing the silver lining
Skipping, joie de vivre
Spirit enlivening, vibrant, rejoicing
May we be blessed whatever our age
no matter how young or old…
Not to miss the silver lining in the clouds
because we’re too busy looking for the gold.
C-loud beneath the sky
H-as its own silver lining,
E-xpressing new hope.

When autumn comes
is winter far away?
Every silver lining
has a cloud.
This is the best of all possible worlds.
So says the optimist,
so says the pessimist too.
To every cloud
There is a silver lining
The flower
Facing the sun
Like a man's dream
Of a bright future
Chasing the sun
Like a man's love
Of the truth of nature
soaring blue yonder
over clouds silver lining
reaching new milestones
silver lining...at last her pregnancy test positive

One plus two usually makes three
But in this crazy world, can't always agree
What's just ahead
Something we dread
Or a silver lining shining for you and me
Silver lining,
pouch of gold
Last remittance,
past unsold
Blessing tendered,
pearl gateway plain
Fallen Angel
—redemption claimed
(Dreamsleep: February, 2020)
Chasing happiness running around insane
Looking in and out
Of
what was almost a bad dream
But, then.... I woke up
And Seen
The silver lining staring back at me.
in stagnant water
aesthetic ecstasy sinks~
engulphed by a lake
planks in protrusion
brooding clouds enshroud a pier~
silver lining plush
Amidst sizzling sky,
I hang alone there waiting
to embrace your pristine light
The pure light from you
nullifies my torid zone,
highlights my silver lining
May-02-2019
A penny for your thoughts
Bothered and pained
Caught between two stools
Drastic times call for drastic measures
Every cloud has a silver lining so
Free your mind from worries..
The curtains speak of you
beneath the silver lining of eve's caress
every breeze that wafts
through my window helps me to confess
how much I truly loved you
from the very start.
I've stopped thinking that you hate me
I have now realized that you can not look at me eye to eye
because you can't stand your own reflection.
It must be a silver lining in the twilight.
sunlight
in the shadows,
silver lining the cloud-
forgiveness heals with whispers said
aloud
why me
life's plantive plea
yet one cry,one call
a choice open to us all ;Lord
help me
Silence has become my music
With a static dance around mystery
As silver lining was replace by ashes
Blue sky wear rainbow
Ornament of man made beauty
My sight caught a former melanin dark
The silver lining
has eaten through my pockets
The bed of roses
Has faded to ash
Ground has opened
And from the depths
the putrid rotting
stench of dying life
has robbed my senses
of beauty
I ran into a man who was mining
clouds for their silver lining.
And for just a smile, you could buy
an endless supply of good cheer from this guy
to keep the sun in your life perpetually shining.
Mortality
fills our lives
with meaning
Procrastination
the future’s
bane
Today is prized
tomorrow
questioned
The moment’s
treasure
— our souls to claim

Sold Silver Lining
Trump has even sold his silver lining,
And horrible moments that are defining;
Only learned one trick;
How to be a lunatic;
He bled us to death and must be resigning.

A SILVER LINING
A silver lining,
Lingers indefinitely in the depths of
Our hearts,
Waiting each day to be discovered anew
By
The first ray of the raising
Sun!
