Shushing Serenade

She softly sings, soothingly
to the serious and somber Samuel
who safely and sleepily slumbers
to her sweet shushing serenade.

Cool to create

The muse has no hushing.
My voice needs no shushing,
A baby boomer scribbling,
At my brain, muse nibbling,
Cool to create,
Thoughts i relate,
While world is yawning,
 I write in the morning,
Verbose or terse,
My muse here in verse!

Premium Member Nature's Breast

The sunshine climbs up the rooted ladder smelling the midsummer umber sentinels, that stand tunnel watch over later comers shushing the interrupted lull wild that have succumbed to slumber. Scented mumbling of dawn's spiral seraph rose pink of light lumbers.

Nature's Bloom

Nature's Bloom

Shocking Monster Comes Again
To See No More A Fame Game
Fragrance Rush, Fragrance Hush
Shushing Down a Path Of Peace

Comes a Gaze of Green Maze
Singing Tones of Sounds So Strange
The Monster Maze to Strangers Sound
Fear No More, No More Again
Last No More, Terminate the Pain.

Premium Member Winter-Spring Canon

Winter-spring canon
Incensed along Jacob's Creek
Like watery angels thought less from clouds above
Canopies of light make soft their entrance
In clucking-pig-progging-and-a-yip-yip-yipping
A shuft-and-shushing of large glass doors
Round about our ways of going
Slipping on the wet pages of our
Winter-spring canon

Premium Member Waking Daddy On New Years Day

Wake up! Wake up! It is New Year’s Day
Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!
Mom barely opens her eyes, her face is gray.
She is not ready to two-step or do a sashay.

Dad’s snoring continues in a dreamland way.
Let’s get Daddy up, okay? Okay?
Mom gives them a shushing look this Tuesday.
They tiptoe downstairs and fix his food on a tray.

Premium Member Not So Loud

a multitude of hands in gray scale
shushing, clutching, hugging, groping
a warm embrace, passionate, real

black skeletal trees, responding to December
a hush that keeps their secrets safe
storm clouds reflected in determined pools

unseeing orbs, romantic well said whispers
serenity, love, hope, peace. Guess who?
Shh! Not so loud….

I Hear You Calling Me

I hear you calling me

whispering softly

blowing my hair gently

a featherlike touch on my face

I hear you calling me

in my dreams

silencing my screams

shushing my troubles away

I hear you calling me

in tranquil times

smiling benovently

revelling in my good moments

I hear you calling me

always

I hope I hear you

always

I miss you

always

I love you Grandad

always

No broken we,
but transformed, remade, in semblance.
Though rough of eye,
no longer fresh
still on and on we dance.

Wingless wonders,
shushing we's,
cajoled, with discontent
searching for the higher arch,
the longer toss, not spent.

Breathe on with breath
as sweet as melon,
as round and ripe and fluid.
Farm the earth, the skies, the stars
Just so, you'll be pursued.

Premium Member Tijuana Rain Puts Me Into a Mood

Tijuana rain puts me into a siesta like mood
I sit by the window allowing her to lull me to sleep
relaxing the way only Mexicans know how to relax
releasing troubles, trials and tribulations of this week

my roommates tiptoe around me, shushing each other
I appreciate their concern, feeling their love and tolerance.
she is pretty when she sleeps, one says, which surprises me.
I slip gently into dreamland, unaware now of the others.

Premium Member She Wants To Show She Still Has a Man

Attending flower show with wife, Mr. Mouse feels dread.
She ignores him completely, and runs way up ahead.
Jotting down notes, and shushing him every single time.
He wants to stay home, but she feels this is not sublime

She wants him to come, so she can show she has a man.
But she ignores him completely as only a real wife can.
Then when she sees his old girlfriend, she pulls him in quick.
Pretending they are still in love, her usual slick trick.

Ode To Shadows

ode to shadows as i peer out the glassed portières penumbral visitations mock me; dare they deign to scare this parched crypt of adrenaline and cortisol, usurped by unquiet scourges over lifetimes' rebirth? steps shifting in the dark, familiar and beloved; the shushing and stirring, commit to draw me near; umbral amici and i provide a panoply o'bosky trappings f'thee a joinin' we, or off to obscure pastures to wee thee pants for eternity!

evenfall
clad in dark green.
            sable,
    outflanking she.
gray wispy clouds flee;
        moonglow slight.
          the wolf,
  silently
present.
    present, his
                 aroused eyes
   shushing irises
long hair, leaves on canvas
                                howl.
dark brush brightens moon.
