Disturbing water,
Calming surface awakens;
Absorbed by shoreline.

fluorescent sea chains
beach filled dreams within a dream
sun on my shoulders
swimming to your shoreline heart
blue filter abode
Bedazzled am I,
dancing to ancient rhythms
on western windblown shores
where drifts of machair colours
this wearied soul restores.
Palm trees uprooted-
mad waves from shoreline avenge
nature's graciousness

slaving away
making waves
pushing
ebb and flow
crumbling on
the shoreline
under the moonlight
Rock turtles in blue waters . . .their crawl so slow it’s imperceptible
2/20/2016 Based on a beautiful picture of a New England shoreline.
driftwood--
someday again
another shoreline
I standfast, ready on the shoreline.
Waves roll in, crashing at my feet.
They invite me softly, they call my name.
I jump right in, they take me home.
Waves meet the shoreline
Wearing from its erosion
Water pulling apart sand
Drift in the sea of time
Leaving behind corrosion
Flow pushing across land
misty turquoise sea
stalwart beacon glazes sky...
jagged shoreline breaks

Night Stars Lovers
What if I told you—
hearts pulled by unseen currents,
two souls riven by fate,
one waits upon the shoreline,
one drifts within the night tide.
there was a seagull so fine
daily searching the seaside shoreline
finding a set of false teeth* with glee
made him a gourmet carefree
knowing they'd help him to dine
.. though the waves
violently swirl
and splash about,
though they fiercely
gnarl and roar,
the rippling wavelets
woo and caress,
lap and gently kiss
the shore ..
As birds in flight glide above
the breath of morning mist
I stand along the shoreline
paying tribute
to those lost
in the wrecks of time
on lake erie's waters
Then come'st thou to thine peer,
Pray the fluid from the ear,
Then followeth thy friend to shoreline,
Unless counte thee the bathe wine,
Fie! Forgiveness not come near.
Eyes staring at the fading sun
as my lover sailed away
tears became the shoreline
she hated my tortured mind
I hated the river
of depression
The river waved good bye
In soft, pinkish robe—
on the shoreline rocks,
this fair bloom greets
the early morning ship
of dream, and presses
my fingers on a dirty
patched road of life.

Night has now fallen
The low pale moon hangs
Casting golden light
Across the ripples
Washing the shoreline
Silhouetting palms

The mist lifts her skirts
Wisps, tufts, half-ghosts
flit across dawn's lake..
pausing
suspended mid-race
peering at the shoreline...
Fearful, they sail off
chased away
to nowhere
Were it in Haifa, one could understand
or Tel Aviv by the shoreline, let ‘em pound sand
But in Holy Jerusalem, a ‘gay pride parade’ ~
one is forced to conclude, there’s nothing sacred
Shoreline washed clean,
shadow of the grave left far behind,
towel in hand
She sweeps back -
Her slick, golden tresses,
ridding them of the waves
and ridding them of the world.
steel blue persuasion
singing blissfully along
the shoreline- torn with
rocks, cracks in the
earth.
gliding through
rough terrain within
graceful stars
lighting each. bold.
shadow.
