stan sand
solitude and celestial light
reflections of most recent strife
I bury in sand with a shell marker
leave it there in shallow, salty water

Some shrimp canapes
and lobster croquettes
Out fishing
Huh !
A lady on Waikiki Beach
Was bone-white from drinking Trump's bleach
But Trump did not gloat
For she could not vote
She's no longer a Georgia peach!
pearl in shell
deepest sea's treasure
most secret
A snail makes his home inside a shell.
"My home", I say, "is a living hell".
A snail without a shell's a slug.
"I guess, my home's not so bad", I shrug.
conch shell hints secrets
inspiring me to lie down in the sand
allowing the lap of the waves to lull me to sleep
i feel grateful he is waiting when I awake
how deep and hollow is an empty shell
found amongst the distant dunes
no home for sand nor wave

It's protection almost hell!

the blizzard inside of
a Capricorn growl;
