The Shell

The shell in the sea
glowing brightly in the waves
reaching for the sand
tumbling over and over
begging for a bit of peace.

I rarely see a tanka done this well, Melani. that is why I enjoy the form so much. You say so much inside the small shell of form that encapsulates your lovely words! Congrats for your well deserved win in my contest.
