Wasted Breath

Verbal incessance,
spewing the words
Feelings left orphaned
—sheaths without swords

Melancholic

I'm sunbird of the sketched skyline,
Soaring across soft sheaths
Of ebony moonflowers,
Inhaling gossamer death, tonight.

Damocles Condemned

Swords
Drawn
Swiftly
From tarnished
Sheaths of bulbous flesh
Transforms pain into audible
Snippets of abhorrent venom sired by taut tongues.

This Bird Is Going Down

I long for the night.
the night
sheaths me
in glorious
grease.
Slippery sudsy
spry and sniveling
are my friends
under the water,
between the oil,
tickling my toes
and
nibbling at my
kneecaps.

Bliss

bliss is the subtlest of the five sheaths donned
a steady hum of divine magnetism
fixating focus, taking us beyond
symbols, forms and labels of every ism
igniting here now our mind-body prism
simply stated bliss mirrors God’s heartbeat
rapture unbound that never does deplete

The Leper King

Born in 1161, Jerusalem had a son
An heir to the throne, an ill one
Moving and acting a normal son
A bloody prey, eaten inside of the Chosen One.

For people's wealth, his left arm prospers
For brotherhood and peace, his right arm decrease
Health ebbed his vespers
Perished in 1185, with mask and sheaths
  to cloak his disease...

The Shadow of Love

In the shadow of love,
The restless shuffle
And shun, as if in
Recovery. Fallen

Bliss burns, like hot coals
Under anxious feet,
Molecules surrender
One upon the other.

Serendipitously,
Nature's adventurous
Spirit absorbs the spill of
Cast down shadows,

Sheaths of fallen love,
On the wings of angels,
Mercifully cobbled
Into hearts and bones.

Transformation

The teary eyes were truthful and...
So are the smiles galore...
Misty, dewy souls are clothed but...
Crave a little apparel more...

Sheaths of emotions wrapped,
In one glance of a profound eye...
Lips laugh a laughter but...
Hearts release a grave sigh...
It changes in the bat of an eyelid...
What to embrace and what to let go...
Mirth visits soon where...
Deeply embedded were layers of woe!!

Sunrise In Summer

Red is rising misty veil from the cliffs,
red is sun unfolding –
looking through the gale,
radiant look withholding.

Land of spires, flowery valleys,
reddish rising beams.
Longwise piney alleys,
rushed are streams.

Pearled blossoms leaves,
life that gropes with sun meant,
to burst its sheaths,
flourish meadows’ scent.

Rocks with flowers girt,
sun-flooded scree,
birds in chirp
and their singing glee.

It Won'T Remain

Take away the things I want
You're just another dream to haunt
Give to me the things I need
I'm just another mouth to feed
Didn't we expect some blood to bleed
Eight billion swords released from sheaths
Take your head down from the sky they say
And all of this can go away
But somewhere, they do pray for rain
One third of angels won't remain
The fear, the war, the sickness and the pain
None of these things could ever remain

Love Spell Unknown

This breath taking me out
Flutters upon your weight of lung
Lucid lingering, we dance each other's flux

Deeper still, your heart revealed
I know the secrets you fashion still
Pressed upon the centuries of days

My love settles in a place unknown
Alone building what I will see eventually
When you come back, we will be free

As we dance upon sheaths of sound
A lurid spell casts from frozen creeks
I know your heart will unearth ecstatic peaks

Sutra 14 from The Holy Science

“Purusha is covered by five koshas or sheaths.”
~ extract from ‘The Holy Science’

Forged from the elements, our form is dust,
enlivened by spirit, the breath of God,
layered by our lower and higher mind,
with bliss manifesting when heart has thawed.

Safely encased in these sheaths, is the Self,
which is who we are, a divine God-spark
and when the five sheaths dissolve one by one,
shining as Self, we then banish the dark.

My Red Delicious Apple

Unblemished veneer caresses each fold
Glossy sheen with silken strands manifold
Face brimming with rosy hue; underneath satin sheaths scrolled
Coarse fibers with satiating nutrients doled

My eyes peel each savory layer, delicately kneading each fiber apart
My nostrils intoxicated by sweet, pungent aroma your core doth impart
My fingers fondle and swab each, soft, curvaceous part
My lips drivel as the sugary juices from your mellow stalk doth depart

The Strength of a Princess

Dreams rise from pink sheets when a twinkling night falls. As moon petals bloom, imagination calls. In fairy tales told from a medieval town, a beautiful princess dons her sparkling gown and adorns flaxen hair with an ornate crown. She then sheaths her sharp sword and scales castle walls. Her prince gives a kiss as the fierce dragon falls.

Tomorrow

Through swaying trees we gaze upon
An evening crescent betwixt the sheaths
New beginnings, of soon to be leafs
Remembering our friend who has gone on

We shall all follow the path to the end
Routes that we take are different for each
Along the way we have goodness to teach
Until the day we join our dear friend

Too small to comprehend the necessity
We wonder now as upward we do stare
The grace of God we pray you do share
Immersed in His love for all eternity

Looking Back

Looking back
curiously acquiescent
in 4th floor chaos

Looking through these
dresser drawers of
sleepy underclothing

Retrospective shirts
and tiresome socks,
these sheaths of self
more coincidental
than designed

Everything ajar,
windows, doors
              my dresser drawers

Clues left coyly
in my path
by boorish poltergeists

Half absent,
I impassively apprise their
surreptitious ways,
         their secret jokes
                   on my reclusion

Say It Like It Is

tender touch
magnetic heat rising
all sheaths of consciousness now aflame

purring bliss
love electricity
teleports us to heightened rapture

lower mind
melds with the glowing heart
the universe too sings with delight

joy replete
no doing to be done
dance of love and light in renewal

The path to freedom

“Of our ignorance, ego is the cause ~
Truth of our being is found in the pause”
            ~ quote by poet

As we slow down, light of soul is crystallised,
cloaking itself in five sheaths of feeble form,
out of which grossest is body, by us prized,
energised by magnetism, both cool and warm.
Truth of our inner light can be realised,
if ego agrees to die in a bliss storm,
to which end all we need to do, is be still,
delighting as dark voids within our heart fill.

The Rhythm Divine

As external events anyway unfold
what will be will be
centred presence in tranquil calm
makes it joyful entrée

Moment to moment in flowing time
in blissful surrender
sheaths of consciousness aligned
with the silent thunder

The flow of soma nectar unending
everywhere manifest
as we imbibe the elixir in innocence
each throb a new crest

No identity within resident to attain
any new enablement
essence of presence is celebrating
in blissful contentment
