Who Won

The amiable knife
demeans it might
schizophrenic in sight
takes the plunge
Savouring the blight
lures the fight
He waited too long
serendipitous sight
For I stole the knife.

Oh prolific warrior of the poetic sword, impale the slothful dragon with your words.
Give no quarter to the spirit of the lazy verse, challenge and subdue it,... then give
It to the serendipitous frog.

One To Care

Unschooled, undisciplined,
  my spirit forged on

Past theory and dogma,
  past anthem and song

A serendipitous storm,
  thoughts, feelings, unshared

All masking together,
 —with just one to care

A Countryside Walk Near Town

Harbingers...
   Bucolic Sounds...
     Efflorescence in Abundance...
       Petrichors of late Summer,
         Redolent of Propinquity to Creation,
       Erstwhile Demesne of God.
     An Ephemeral Dalliance,
   Serendipitous Timing...

Premium Member Sundial Huitain

With flames our story has begun,
my eyes are blinded by your smile;
Our love was painted in the Sun;
I have not felt this for a while,
maybe this time I’m not on trial;
Was it fate or the time of day?
Oh, serendipitous sundial!
I’m in awe of the game in play.

Premium Member Pyjama Days

a serendipitous day and a half
when the big bang happened
everything called to being
from some singularity
barely anything wasted
except you and I
on pyjama days
when it’s sunny outside
you said you might get dressed
if it happened again
I’m afraid I believed you

Premium Member Bungles Clungles In the Jungles

Barely belaboring the billions of bungles,
Listening to the cold, clamorous Cleveland-like clungles,
Within the bowels of the half-hearted, hard-headed hungles,
Judiciously jeering at the jealous jaguars juicy joy jungles,
She swung the serendipitous swiggles from their silly slow swungles.

Premium Member September

September’s serendipitous serenade
Evokes the ebullience of ecstasy
Provokes a prancing promenade
Tingeing the torrid leaf tips
Exacting an elemental excitements
Monumental majesty
Blue-black horizons blending
Exotically enigmatic exigencies
Ruby reds rollicking in the Rockies

AN ARTIST'S ODYSSEY

An amateur with art in her veins,
A portrait and palette to design dreams and pains.

Serendipitous ideas flood the gates,
An obsession mushrooms as fate curates.

Rekindling old fondness,
Crafting nuance with skillfulness.

From canvas to clinic, the journey unfolds,
Exploring dermal maps with a finesse untold.

Premium Member The Climb

A thousand stairs to climb
Beyond those watchful eyes,
Confidence was all I find, embracing
Stepping into newness of you,
Standing still
A subtle reminder, love brewed
Bringing me straight to you -
Your stance, physique, words you speak
Showed new day's treat, snug
Serendipitous of this longing between us,
Entangled as we are,
Hoping for the clearing.

This Is All I Have

This is all I have
Shredded heart
Rhapsodic essence
Grimace on the face
Cacophony in the ears
This is all I have
Lost talisman
Waiting for a serendipitous
Ineffable rumination
With an ephemeral existence
This is all I have
Mellifluous sound
Turned to screeching noise
Crystalline entity
Pirouetted to a crepuscular subsistence
This is all I have

Premium Member God Orchestrates a Momentous Morning

A new morning, bright, not in its light, but in its brilliant composure.
—quote by poet

God Orchestrates a Momentous Morning

As the sun provides a scintilla of light
at dawn, and the clouds squeeze out
slight sprinkling, atmosphere tweets
along with the daybirds and hoots
with the owl. S u d d e n downpour -
delightful the serendipitous chorus.

Serendipitous Smiles

as hot bronze skin meets the cool blue summer water oohs and aahs issue

Serendipitous

some say it is serendipitous
I think they are ridiculous
left more to hosts up above
deciding who shall fall in love

not lucky the last time I fell
knowing it could not work out well
some discoveries come much too late
find out it's part of love's game

this time I know it is true
different from all I once knew
better this last time around
serendipitous or not what I've found
