black my soul when we met my thirst for you dark and rapacious with endless jealousy my addiction teasing me engulfing me in emptiness my need drawing me ever closer into your obsessive self absorption

Lost Horizon

I streaked right by the sunset, never noticed
the tangerine sphere in the sky,
the orange ball of which poets speak.

Into the darkness I stumbled.
What happened?
Self-absorption obscured the sign of the sun.

See no truth,
Hear no truth,
Speak no truth.
Follow the leader.
Don’t look to either side
Or you might see
In the mirror
Of your own making
Your cowardice,
distortions, self-absorption,
lies, and poor judgment.
Keep the blinders on.
Follow the leader
over the cliff.

Said the Artist, To Himself...

"Self absorption:
fickle, spiny sponge.
Crevices of fingerprints
stinging on the tongue...
Rapt attention
fixed upon the
reproducing cell-
Fickle self absorption
I know you very well."

(-on the internal struggle of an artist's drive to create vs. the demands of real life.)

Premium Member The Superior Gender of My Specie

Women are most definitely
the more superior gender of my human specie,
at least in the area of a more higher level of spirituality.
Men on the other hand are the more superior gender of my specie
in the areas of self absorption, hate and greed.
That in no way means that women are weaker to men in any degree.
Positive will always be stronger than Negative eternally.

Who Are We

Are we gods and ancestors?
Are we giants and heroes
With heart made of stone
Oh life, tell us

Are we the products of self absorption?
From the reactants of hatred and greed
In the presence catalyst of ignorance
Oh life, define us

Are we inhuman with our shameful eyes?
That seeks darkness
And chase smoke
Oh life, forgive us

Are we pain to the world?
With our faded life
Forged identities
Oh life, fill us

Untitled

Stripping off
laying waste
there is a distinct sound of slither from the bushes

transformation
oddly enough
being born in the year of the snake
is fitting
as I shed
my cocoon of self absorption

my eyes are open
seeing as if the first time seeing
shadows are now light
and light is now brilliance
as it bounces across the waters of my soul...

there is no suspect
there is only one
that which is alone
that which is me.

As the Rising Sun

As the dawn of a new day,
revealed by the bright countenance
of the rising sun,
made bare by the parting heavenly blanket

As the certainty of the new day, made naked,
by the fleeting timid terrestrial curtain of night

So let the sapphire desire to do good,
to lift the spirit of others, be revealed,
in our eternal treasury

Let it shine through,
dispelling the mist of apathy;
the tunnel vision of self-absorption

Swallowed Pride

gluttonous beasts
filled by
the profusion
of their own pride
no compassion
only self-absorption

swallowed whole
by death’s jaws
now out of reach
embarking on their
immutable destination
into the swollen belly
of damnation
with no deliverance
to be found

dark & deadly
wise creation
stands before them
laughing in their faces
as he reaches deep
within each
ripping out their
black hearts
and shoving
their foolish
pride down
their own
throats
