I just saw what another poet said down here. how your poem reads going up as well as down. How very interesting!

Reading it from the bottom to top has an interesting image. It is a poem in itself. The words falling into an abyss. The poem's imagery of addiction and what it does to the soul whether read top to bottom or bottom to top blackens the soul. Very nice use of words and imagery.

Thank you Frank, I must admit that the reverse read was not intentional but as I reread it several times while writing it I noticed the interesting flow of the piece when reading from top to bottom. It takes on a different meaning. An astute eye you have. Thanks for the great comment.
