Premium Member Wear and Tear
I've got aches and pains and chills and blaines,
Arthritis, bursitis and more.
If it weren't for this darn sciatica,
I'm sure it would hurt even more....

Sciatica
oops - can't do it
can't stay at the computer too long
this chair is really hard on my back
i'm still feeling that sciatica pain
that hollow tube of pain from my lower back
down through my kneecap and a little further down
sometimes all the way down to my toes
sciatica sucks

Widder Woman

hate boxes and neat little slots
pigeon holes burn my behind
all those safe-making creations
that pacify the peeps.

Premium Member Gaslight Me

Giving me subtle clues they don't care
Asking me to work 9 hour shifts without a lunch break

Even though I enable my self-destruction
...

Premium Member Fibro Strong
It takes strength, day and night
to tolerate pain, the Fibro fight
the muscle aches, damn brain fog
total exhaustion, stiff as a log
headaches, sciatica, insomnia and more
tinnitus, vertigo, and stress galore
nerve pain and spasms, when does it end
this Fibromyalgia needs to mend
I don’t look sick, but my struggle is real
I’m quite often hot, when cold you feel
The ride never ends, but I am strong
Chronic pains no joke, but I will go on....

After the Sciatica
my left leg went wooden
paradoxically
it hurt like hell

in-between the agony
meditation
i am not this body i thought
i am not these thoughts i thought
i am not even this mind i said
to myself

i am not this self
my self replied

it was then
that i experienced

a minor - no

a pigmy epiphany
just a wee inkling

(size isn't everything)

smiling on the inside
i made myself a whisky-sour
a strong one

that moment of enlightenment
was as good as any
I’ve had so far...
