Artists who paint with passion and flair
That slap on colours that do not run
Because they do it with Savoir Faire
It brings pleasure and is great fun.

A Question of Balance

Reality occasionally hallucinates,
      poetry almost always enchants
our art is to balance the extremes,
so that we compile the finer results

Premium Member Vampire

Venetian blinds shuttered
Vivacious lust a fix
Veins throb crimson allure
Visceral dread repels
Victorian specter
Vexing savoir-faire lure
Vampire's bloodletting

Odd Socks

Why do socks seem to disappear?
 I can’t find a matching pair!
Not wanting to develop a syndrome
When anyone comments on my odd flair,
I retort with apparent savoir faire:
Yes I’ve another pair jus’ like’em at ‘ome!

Premium Member Ginger-Bred Boy

A redheaded stepchild, he lacked savoir faire; seems all that he did brought his parents despair. He made them some gingerbread, did so with flair. Just for spite, he included some bits of his hair.

The poet, bright, sat upon his comfy chair.

He was peacock proud of his savoir fare!

Premium Member Tortoise and Hare Redux

She has a certain savoir-faire;
always clever with the cleaver.
Young leveret wants to believe her,
follows signs for trim of hare.

Too old, her title to recoup,
waits patient at the barbershop,
then takes a little off the top;
a tortoise makes delightful soup.

Danger

Dastardly dangers lurk wherever you are

They can come from far away or from right where you are

Sometimes the greatest perils are the ones you can't see

Tinier even than the legs of a flea

Evolution and Nature are a most formidable pair

Protecting and selecting

Death

To even those with the most savoir faire

Premium Member You Look Good For Your Age

When someone says you look good for your age What they're really saying you look like **** Those wrinkles and deep lines around your eyes Add a certain savoir-faire one can't miss The double chin, the walk, you're expanding middle Further proof, the end is fast approaching But you continue to look good for the shape you're in Life's taking its toll still keeps eroding (giggle)

Premium Member That Sound

It’s a sound that can’t be spelt
A sound not uttered by the svelte
A sound like when your grandpa knelt
It’s worse with every year you’re dealt

A sound made rising from a chair
When pulling up your underwear
When climbing each successive stair
A sound devoid of savoir faire

This sound made by the elderly
Is commonplace; apparently
But lately this sound seems to be
A sound that emanates from me!

Dry Stone

In its’ drinking of the rain,
Pelted epidemically, absorbed
Of heaven’s thoughts and earthworm prayer;
The colours thaw in rivulets
On slate and brutish stone wash,
Sunk into a crab grass savoir faire.

In its’ sucking of the sun,
Copper hammer beaten, reflects
On somnolent years and rainbow gleams;
A child may brush the surface,
Deposit trace genetic evidence,
Forensics of some past and future dreams…

Lavender

Lavish pink mingles in purple pastures
An amalgam of foam in seraphic blue
Vena cava diffuses mauve melancholy
Effulgent splashes lulling tidal shores
Nostalgic desires flutter in savoir-faire
Droning all drowsy, a fragrant love affair
Enchanted bells tinkle, as bees meander
Ripples of essence in vales of lavender.

Calling All Potential Wanna Be, Sugar Mama's

Thinking of beautiful precious Goldie Hawn in Overboard while day dreaming....
Scratching our head as making a list knowing, we are merely his infant trapped amid
An old used body why else would they portray such that, their gerbers festive spoiled child ?
My twinkling if twitching nose held high be the sky; racing past her palace doors marble mistral floors
Silver stools his golden pools; flinging love's pampers without a care so joyfully unto the air; her, savoir-faire.

Bus Stop

Sitting in the waiting room her sunlit day; complying to their sequence
Amid a foregone conclusion ? Appearing suddenly out of nowhere
Ineffable somehow it seems this, March two thousand twelve's
National Geographic's copy titled, 'The Journey of the Apostles....
Theocracy's last supper sublime; tableaux ? Instinct taking hold slowly
Savoir-faire walking past these doors surely tis for me ? Sanctum sanctorum
Seder thirty years now, gone by ? Why his doctor queried; Angels in the mist hieros.
