Only I Can

Your views don’t matter.’
Those icy words may seem cold;
White knight’s a white lie;
It’s been a long time coming,
only I can salvage me.

SALVAGE

Ideas and thoughts
I borrow all
Prime a new plot
Old deeds fit call

Red

undaunted sea men salvage ruins
of a severed ship.

Salvage

In a tunnel of lights
I see my life at the end
Burning a candle
Trying to handle
My ills and my past
Directing the cast
And I better move fast
Because this window will not last
If I believe in salvaging my past

Betrayal

Betrayal
sprays red and distrust
all over what was once
unblemished and pure.

The stains
will never go away,
and while forgiveness
must prevail to salvage sanity—

still—
my innards whimper
and rage.

Skate Across

Skate across
My frozen pond
The ice is thin
But if you should fall
Below my surface
I would rescue you
Yet if you glide gently
Across my fragile heart
You need no salvage
You know the way
Let your love guide you

Limerick: Once a Lion of a Man In Ruin

Limerick : Once a Lion of a Man in ruin

Once a Lion of a Man in ruin
Tried to salvage his pawns and ***** Queen
Far too late t’was end-game
Even his Knight was lame
So he reset rules and horsed his Queen !

But Plumbers Cost So Much

Sump pump is broken
Constant water run
Plumbers cost money
Homeowner is sad
Waits a bit too long

The basement floods
Ruins couches
Bedding thrown out
Salvage nothing

Expensive
Life lesson
Plumber comes

Nasty
Stump pump
Flood

Way Too Late

No creature so dumb
No child or visitor so numb
    That they do not despair
At the tension stabbing the air

When there exists hate
By then it's way too late
To salvage a marriage gone wrong
~ Better to say, 'We tried, now so long'

Cock and Hens

A cock and hens in a cage
The cock is in it’s old age

All hens cock to manage
To live in love cock encourages

Hens are always in bandage
The cock is making them damage

The cock keeping hens engaged
The hens are taken into his salvage

The Lotus We Carry Within

the best of egypt's
heart and soul

the lotus bloom
symbol of purity
and innocence

beauteous reminder
of our personal
spiritual quest

to salvage our long lost
childlike qualities

Nuggets of Poverty

A little can salvage for the
night,although tomorrow
is unknown,like a blank
page,awaiting to be
written again,the past as
memory,the present as a
storm in the dark, so
awaiting for the future to
unfold,and the pain to go
away as it comes.

Salvage Trip

Salvage Trip

Melancholy shook her hips when she saw his little ship
A four seater didn't exactly make for an exciting trip
Still she shrugs all a board
Ship ahoy on his slight sword
Ships a sea twenty waves "have we embarked" she quips

Salvage Yard Freeway-

Salvage yards hand me down
 throttle starters transmission brawls
Clutch drive spent wheels ravages
Four-wheel drive, five-speed Savages,
all this going on in the Salvage junkyard tow yard
Just 500 feet from the freeway?

Peace of Mind

They came and stole her while I slept
My peace of mind
My peace of mind

At first I did not realize
But as soon as I saw she was gone
I knew where to go to salvage her

I always go deep inside and get
a new fresh batch, for hope, faith
and peace, are way down deep, in my cells.

102 and Degrees

UMM I CAN TASTE THE HEAT
AHHH DON'T YOU LOVE THE QUINCH
THE AMOUNT OF DEPHT
YOU PORES OPEN UP

WHAT A MOMENT
HOW BEAUTIFUL THE BODY IS
AND IT'S EFFORTS
TO SALVAGE ITS SELF

OHH THE HEAT
WRAPPING, TAPPING, CLAPPING
AS OUR SYSTEMS ARE GASPING
DUE TO YOUR HEART BREAKING ACTING

Titanic

Atlantic Ocean's cold and deep.
Water shows its darkened face.
Some souls then saved as by God's grace.
A lonely place where many sleep.

Now she's junk, broken queen below.
Do we want salvage, taking gold?
Disturbing graves with dives all bold.
With no respect that we should show?

Brother Mine

Brother Mine

The pain so graven
Man betraying man
Emotions fly to intercept
And save a failing heart
Not important, not essential
Try; try to push the knowing down
            to places not visited.
To forgive? To overlook, to salvage..
Essential for survival.
But not forgotten.

Rose of Absence

To those whom ask for nothing
Here and now, I give you
Every mans suffering

Before I
Lay me down never to rise again
As I give to you
Closure before it begins
Knowing only this will salvage your truth

Receive the gift
Of your saddened angel
Stand, be blessed upon thy lips
Embrace my end

It could be Arsenic

innoxious odor
faintly fishy
I think of salmon I say

it could be arsenic
this was thrown out by dour Debby Downer
we always get worse scenarios from her

it reminds me of catfish
my upbeat-mother-in-law says,
trying to salvage the family meal.
it is not our fault her other son married Debby Downer

Love

Love is a passion
                         it burns deep within
                         it starves you from reality
                         it strips your soul bare
a hunger for attention to salvage our needs
a sweet surrender it can bring you to your knees...

Tears Fall

as your world falls apart
I try to put you together again
just like before

as your heart breaks
I try to capture all the pieces
and reconstruct it

as your tears fall
I try to catch them all
and bring back your sun

as your love incinerates
I try to put out the flames
and salvage some for your future

Conflict

Wrestle in confusion
For the seed of resolution
While the answer is out of reach,
No relief from the anguish of the breach.
Debated element by element
And is necessary for human development,
Guarded with knowledge
Are the lessons we do salvage.
Sometimes lenient,
Sometimes strict
Is the state of conflict.

Decrepit Landscapes

Dreary decrepit landscapes frost over the hills,
No land to salvage, no time to kill.

Close your eyes into a paradise that will never find you,
Sences leave you blind, As your soul will forever guide you.

Valid dreams no longer vivid, In this world so directed,
Time can no longer pass, but with you, I have existenced.
