Sacrificial

death, even the rocks

Clan
What's in a name?
Your roots.
Your clan.
All that made me
who I am.
Offered up
in marriage,
like a sacrificial lamb.
Reclaimed now..
beause I can!

The Substitute
Justice decreed,
"Man must die!"
Mercy pleaded
for another way.

Love, with grace,
stepped forward,
and God's sacrificial lamb
was slain....

March
March roars in like a lion seeking

Attention with its hard cold breezes

Ranting and raving like some lunatic

Carefully the sun calms the lion transforming

Him into the sacrificial lamb...

Stained, Yet Cleansed
quite unlikely may be the day
when that one meek lamb
shall bravely defend
all the shepherds
from the wolves,
quite unlikely
that day
may
be

so
may
the hour
be at hand
when, stained
yet cleansed by
death, even the rocks
and stones shall hail the
blood of the sacrificial lamb...

Sacrificial Lamb
The Sacrificial Lamb
On the cross
Shedding His Blood
So our souls would not be lost

What greater love could there ever be
Who could love us as much as He
Giving His life for an entire nation
One selfless act to save all of creation

Reserving us a space
In our heavenly Holy Father's place
Our final home to come
In His Wonderful Kingdom...

flocks of sheep paused their grazing,
looked up to speak to me,
the bright moon kept watch,
like a big farm dog,
looking over a tall birch tree!
I condoned with their bleating,
of their inhuman suffering,
heard their soul’s appeal!
the green meadow fed them,
from fresh goodness of its being,
knowing too well,
that this would be their last meal!

Miracle of Salvation
All was lost. Everything!
None could have found a hope
For survival.

Sin was strong as the
Intoxication of alcohols.
Men tore their skin with strife
Life was lost in darkness.

Jesus, came the sacrificial lamb
He was our second Adam
He, for our sake carried our pains
He was victorious, he brought us gain.

Now that I am saved
I take it joy to note that
The greatest miracle ever
Is that of salvation....

Michelangelo
It took Michelangelo
To find where David was hidden
In a chunk of rock,
To chip and scrape away
All that was not the shepherd king.

It took Michelangelo
To find the finger of God
By placing on
The sameness of a ceiling
Those blends of particulars
That made Adam.

It took Michelangelo
To find a mother grieving,
Holding her sacrificial lamb,
Entombed in stone,
Awaiting resurrection
In hands and eyes....

Every Soul at the Feast: Celebrating Christ's Resurrection
Every soul is liberated the day Christ went down to the grave
Ascending high above heaven, Christ bridged the gap between earth and sky, like a cloud parting from the ocean
Sacrificing and sanctifying with his blood of all sinners.
The word once a prophecy now a liberating source of all man
This early Church tradition became a worldwide feast here on earth
Redeemed by Christ who bled as a sacrificial lamb once and for all....

The Lamb of Nrop
Open up your arms
Or they were thrown apart
And was crucified
On a piece of wood
Between two thieves
And pierced three times
At once.
Skin torn and ripped apart
Forced the bitter liquid
Down the mouth to swallow
gasping and choking,
vomiting
And bled all holy royalty
From the weakened body
And the sacrificial lamb
Was soiled
With the sins of ten billion souls
For all eternity and
She accepted it for
Paper....

Listen to poem:
Veil of Fear
David J Walker

Sometimes the sound of
Foreign voices
Fall from another room
Call from the molten plume
Of obdurate choices

Carefully folded
in the tomb
Of the sacrificial lamb

Ask the enlightened
Who understand
Who can elucidate
The meaningless darkness

And expand upon a
Personal vision with
The starkness of
Incipient light
Latent derision
Intimate sight

Dissolving a veil of fear...

Misogyny - For Sylvia Plath
There's a cold dark place
Sylvia Plath has been inside
A kind of sacrificial lamb
An experiment of sorts
Misogyny for the masses
A Hitler for wives
Dust that, rub this,
Lunch is cold, you shall pay!
Only one way out
Put the lunch in the gas oven
Warm it up real nice and slow
Then turn it up
"Is that better, Heil Hughes"

Misogyny

Footnote

There is speculation whether Ted Hughes drove his former wife Sylvia Plath to suicide...

In Memorium
How do you celebrate
a first anniversary?
How do you commemorate
365 days
of life?
No ivory, crystal
china or gold.
Simply one year of
survival in spite
of your best efforts.

There will be
no party, festive
and light.
Only a quiet
Private vigil to remember
what was truly lost
and the sacrificial lamb.

Blood for blood.

At the end of this day
one year later
I shall grieve for
the lost little lamb
but celebrate
Life....

GARDEN'S SACRIFICIAL LAMB JESUS

Let me pass
I'd go neither north or south
There's no need to react
I'm presenting myself
a living sacrifice
And my life no longer under law
God has given me a new one
No longer shall I sacrifice
A bullock rams or lamb
Jesus came died and became
are sacrificial lamb
He became the one
He died, sinless hug and rose
Again He rose again
Jesus is my garden

The Sacrifice
God required a sacrifice,
unspotted, perfect, clean;
nothing less than His own Son,
the sacrifice supreme.

His life was laid down willingly
to redeem lost, fallen man,
without protest, without a word,
my sacrificial Lamb.

His blood was shed, poured out,
my soul to purify;
the Spirit's all consuming fire
the sacrifice applies.

Blessed, holy Son of God,
sweet perfume, divine,
the essence of Your sacrifice
has won this heart of mine.

The Final Lie
Numbers have a lasting smell
while figures have a taste
Shapes can make an ancient sound
whose feelings stay untraced

Intuition grants a wish
to those who rebegin
Dimension in the blackest hole
new dwarf stars from within

Counting up or counting down
deception stays the same
What you gain or what you lose
redundant in the game

Endings come and endings go
ephemerally despised
Until the sacrificial lamb
—bleats out the final lie

I wanted to write this while crying
But you might misunderstood my cry
My words maybe wanting
My way of thinking also wanting
My English maybe wanting my pen slowly out of ink
But am sure of one thing
My message is not wanting
If I was to be a sacrificial Lamb
I would gladly be
That our sins could be forgiven
That depression no more
We value and love each other
No more violence no more Cold blood murder
No more theft we practice hard-working
So peaceful would be the world...

Leah Sharibu the Unsung Heroine
Intrepid damsel,
a heroine unsung.
A willing martyr
with courage
unrivalled.
Unransomed captive
with a ransom
infinite.
She gladly faces
death with eternity
in view.
Like her lover before her,
she chooses to be
a sacrificial lamb
to the slaughter.
Leah Sharibu,
the heroine unsung.
She that chooses to mortify
her passions
for timeless paradise.
Hardly daunted by
Kalashnikovs and
thunderous explosives,
she inherits a world
deemed abstract by
unfaithful adherents....

The Sacrificial Lamb
His glorious throne He left
for this unruly world of theft
A great sacrifice He offered
for the world He suffered
Into this world He was born
The sewage of sin He had to burn
Gifts they brought
His life Herod sought
The erudites swore
Crown of thorns He wore
Oh!
He died then, though alive
Halleluiah!
He's resurrected, yes He has
The precious lamb of God has
risen to life
Three days in the grave, yet back
to life
The power of death He has
thrown into the eternal sack
The sacrificial lamb...
