Unannounced

the finality of it
realizing is here to stay
almost welcoming its familiarity

the making peace with it
in its apparent harmony
resigned without fanfare

the sacrificial lamb
emptiness and heartbreak
intertwined and cohabitating

and in you come
out from nowhere
brazen and unapologetic

messing up my plans
to end my days
alone and disheartened
