Roll

it was his wish
to rush out of heaven as the
August rain.

Falling in a rolling style
An act of Fun.

So my friend wish to roll
From up
Landing in blue of seas

Else I'Ll Gush On the Floor

Trust me, have I ever lied to you before You tickle my pickle and so much more There should be a law To restrict my awe Else I'll gush on the floor as I rush out the door Huh???

1864

She sat wearily
and wide eyed in Pa’s old chair
then sprang to rush out the door
“only just the wind”
Everyday she’s done the same
Three years now since Pa left home

The Cold Bell

There's the bell, children rush out, strawberry, chocolate, choose your pick, it's time to enjoy. Somewhere far, victims of war rest in peace. Bomb explodes, ice creams melt, smiles freeze. bells toll death. 06/16/2017

Homestead Love

gingerbread lace on a gorgeous white porch
splashed of corals and oranges among the green trees
here is a home where love is generously lavished
I rush out of the car almost before it has stopped
Home at last, I smell vanilla and cinnamon and love.

Break of Dawn

Listen to poem:
in the wee hours
while the world sleeps

with much anticipation
on tiptoe i rush out

to capture that perfect moment
when the sun arises

first morning rays cast
to greet an awaiting world

Darling

darling, fall down to your knees
darling, be swept away into the breeze
let the wind rush over you
theres no hope for your rescue
sink into the sand, take in the heat
feel the waves rush in, rush out, and repeat
darling, your death i do not believe
darling, your memories will not leave

Motormouth Is Talking

My co-workers in the hallway are laughing
I rush out to listen; but I must have missed the punchline
They are trying hard to like each other, I can see that.
Motormouth is talking, so I slink back into my room.
Glad she doesn’t include me; for she never listens to anyone
I think this is the most unflattering trait a person can have.

Newtown

Please wake me up,
From this awful dream,
Sounds of carefree laughter,
Have suddenly become,
Horrifying screams.

Gunfire erupts,
In an unexpected place,
Bullets claiming victims,
While others rush out,
Terror etched upon their face.

Why did the hand of death,
Visit Newtown today,
Mowing down the innocent,
Whose only thoughts involved,
School and friends and play.

Why? Will we ever know?

Refinement

It’s the kind of day to cry about To open your eyes let the tears rush out The rain is falling Pavement slick Maybe I should just slide into a ditch Lie there cold Lie there still Sun-faded in summer Enameled brightly by fall Dew lined in spring Winter, chilled and thawed Lie there in an anomalous state Lie there taut and still Loss of mechanism Loss of will

Without a Muse

O Muse of mine, where have you gone?
I miss the sweetness of your song;
Alas, no voice is on the wind;
No fiery flame stirs from within

My spirit you once used to make,
Held gently in your warm embrace,
Divulge its secrets safely kept,
And bid them rush out from my breast

What symphonies you used to play
That through small words I sought to catch;
Though now it seems you’ve gone away,
And left my soul an empty nest.

A Hilarous Snow Fight

Across
North America
temperatures plunge
dramatically;
then steady snow
takes over to transform this quite village
into an alpine scenery;
quickly stepping out of the slamming door:
I call out to Erica,
but she's having a hilarious snow fight
with Jack and Paul!
I hesitate to slip on my boots,
then rush out with a playful mood:
to be hit in the face
at close range,
but rapidly
and precisely
I toss!

Poise

Thoughts rush in; words rush out
Really know what it's all about
Stop that rushing; just stop it.
Don't throw that fit!
Take all the time you need to pray
The the Peace will reflect in what you say.
Manipulations and temptations flee
Don't be as busy as a bee
But breathe deeply, think creatively,
See the beauty somewhere intuitively,
Wait and then act purposefully.
Don't let the "negatives" bully.
Be sweet and never stop smiling
Blessings will start piling.
