Love ruled over
My heart can’t deny
I felt so excited
Can’t say how or why
Ruled By the Road
There are those who may be fooled,
When we by road have been ruled;
Road rage,
Never engage;
Always will win when we are dueled.
Jim Horn
The nationalist-Obafemi Awolowo
with the colonial masters he fought a war
But painfully he never ruled the entire nation
"Best president the country never had",people`s notion.
Assertive aspirations
Rattle cages to
Impart liberation,
Existential ponderings and
Sustainable harmony through respect

If elephants ruled the world, it's a fact
They wouldn't make us a circus act
Their hearts big and caring
Know not greed, only sharing
Golden Rule notions we've lauded but lacked
12/20/22
Should I stop too explain
My life is not perfect
But my time you won't kill
My bank account you won't steal
If I asked you permission
Open up the gates
Put me in slavery
It's all in your head
Time to take back numbers
And show you why I'm strong
I write so many words for people who will never read them
I bleed ink to paper
Climbing my way out of a glass box of brokenness
I leave pieces of me in the poems of a half written book
I don't know if I'm trying to understand the pain people feel
or if I'm secretly hoping someone can finally read between the lines of my silence
If poets ruled the world,
All would be kept in line,
Everybody would know a rhyme,
Or receive a fine.
If poets ruled the world,
We would present poems as we dine,
Or we could choose one to mime,
Which would be fine.
If Poets ruled the world,
We could avoid stepping on a mine,
In our lifetime,
If we had poets to keep us all in line.
Chaos would take the reins, if I ruled the world.
My fam'ly and friends would turn mugwump.
It'd only be in a nightmare that I'd rule the world.
I am a clown; gravity would cease and we'd all jump
ship to abandon hope of living if I ruled the world.
Perhaps then folks could appreciate Mr. Trump.

Train coming down
my way, hearing
its whistle gives
my heart a thrill.
Such a long load
this train is pulling,
going to places
far away and beyond.
Thinking of better days
when trains ruled travel,
bringing this grand country
together for us all to see.

saw this train at Jim Baker Reservoir in Denver Co
I filmed it then wrote this poem this morning.
Her love-life ruled by idyllic extremes
romantic, passionate kisses on screens
fairy-tale princes on stallions pale-cream
Promises whispered on moonlit nights
shoreline strolls under stars twinkling lights
two lovers' eyes filled with amorous gleams
Little wonder no beaux could live up to her billing
any glimmer of hope she ended up killing ~ 'til
she retired to pillow-fed, wistful dreams
Searching on the Google,
Via my new 4G Dongle;
Chatting on the Facebook
And showing up my new look.
A face to face and an eye to eye,
Skype is spreading like the blue sky;
The monkeys on Youtube-----jumps and chatter,
One can easily be followed on the Twitter.
Wikipedia is at its best,
Amazon and Flipkart chases the golden crest.
And you must make a quick haste,
To look up into the------ Pinterest.

None speaks louder then the Lord
Cast not your fears upon man
For he is the ruler of this world
I cannot put myself above him
I cannot rule this world
I cannot and do not have his power
Thus, He is the ruler of our world
Thus, He is the savor of this world
Thus, He is our God
In a realm where pluck ruled supreme
Where valorous hearts dared to dream
A shrug is strong tough thrive and gleams
Whose proud tales to compile?
His name was known, both far and wide
Always stood by his people's side
With unwavering faith and pride
Fought for fairness, not heil
In gloomy times, shone as bright light
He leads people through the worst night
His zeal and resolve often bright
Each step went, extra mile
If I ruled the world of words
I would empower that refined bond
Wave gracefully my magic wand
And into ploughshares beat swords.

I would invoke all the Muses of poetry
With the truest of voices, in a fervent chant
To cast a spell on souls and every quill enchant
And serve Art attain beauty and glory.

If I ruled the world of words
I would feed its soil and clear it of weeds
Unearth all its fields and sow the finest of seeds
And reap an ink stirred by divine hummingbirds.
