Hero That Never Ruled

The nationalist-Obafemi Awolowo
with the colonial masters he fought a war
But painfully he never ruled the entire nation
"Best president the country never had",people`s notion.

Hi Olusegun~What a wonderful person to do a clerihew on. He died 2 yrs after I graduated from high school..He reminds me of a Nigerian Martin Luther King but minus the religious frills..I like that he was initially self educated at first...a writer, a mover and shaker, and a spokesperson for the common man. Another Asiwaju of Yorubaland- it can be said..I wonder if he ever wrote any poetry. What type of law did he practice?,,,
