Another Day
Here I stand before the scorching sun
Braving heat is not fun
It takes courage to face the heat
That rouses the surge in my heartbeat

Another day, another time
To brave the world full of crime
On the streets dogs constantly bark
Trying to damp my bright spark...

I have crossed oceans
Tasted salt of discoveries;
Allowing strangers
To become families.

Now I am older, yet new allies
Beyond map's horizon
Still rouses thirst
For unknown destiny.

Insufficiency
Insufficiency rouses its head from time
time.
Drags and tugs at you: me
To pull you back to 'that place'.
That place you thought you would never
lose,
The place you did not want to be in.
A place you never thought you'd be pulled
in,
Though for a short time; that place wasn't
you....

White Spots
Pollen rushing

though the grass

as chipmunks dig

thoughtlessly.

White spots, a fawn

darts into

the morning sun

Doe's eyes sail,

opaque. Her child.

A hand through

the fence rouses

her over

the pure white spots

soon to fade.

She eats....

Morning Sun
Morning sun, shining so bright
Scorching partly my open skin
Like a torch of flaming light
Burning my soul from within

It's the first in my lifetime
To feel the touch of this burning heat
Like a hot spring everytime
Rouses the surge of my heartbeat

In Rhyme
I am an expert in nothing.
My prowess rouses in case of need.
But in poetry, I found my longing,
like I was born for it indeed.

In rhyme, I found my true love,
like a gift that fell from the sky.
By mere looking at the stars above,
I could inscribe a lullaby.

tracking the tulips - haiku series
flower beds ready
fall gardeners plan ahead
tucking in the bulbs

tulips nod off
winter blankets of snow
magic underground

spring sun's warmth
rouses like morning coffee
stems break through the soil

blossoms fill the fields
Holland's tourists agape
beauty beyond words

leaves and stems shrivel
food for hungry bulbs
autumn's bedtime snack

My Child My Soul
My child,
sleep sweetly
as honey...
when he rouses
always tell me
sugary
words...
My child,
don't have much work
to sleep...
sleep as a cherubim,
under the covers...
His sleepy breathe
remember the singing
of the nightingale...
when he rouses,
he tells me of the sun,
tell me over his
flights...my soul
is enchanted...
my real soul,
is that child...!...

Climax Beat
The gentle beating of her breasts,
The gradual beating of her breasts,
Gentle… gradual
Gradual… gentle---
Rouses your blood.
Waltz!
A hymen-veiled virgin
Tip toes carefully into a
Forest of suspense.
Tip toes carefully… gradually,
Like the beads of sweat upon her temple---
And the breasts beat,
And the breasts beat,
And the gentle beating of the breasts
Rouses your blood,...

Sweet Coquette, a Decastitch By Ronald S Porter
Oh dear delight! My sweet coquette. Enticing smiles; your glance flirtatious rouses in me, dispositions salacious. Sometimes my fret- sometimes my pet; oh so tantalizing the way you tease transform blase' to beguiling mystery which fires my fervor with pleasing ease. Comely countenance; aspect gracious All ardorous attentions you do invite; Oh sweet coquette! My dear delight.

Silence sounds like music
Unbelievable melody of faith
Nurturing my light of desire
Flowing crimson through veins
Laughter caressing my verses
Opening my heart to the gentle
Whispers of love that is sure
Eternal, forever, always together
Romance that rouses pure pleasure

Shallow Graves 2 Written: By Tom Wright 2/20/2006 Our fondest memories lie in shallow graves, Those unpleasant things we’ve interred deep. To Satan’s excavation we’re oft made as slaves, Preferring they’d remained in abysmal sleep. His reminding voice whispering in our ears, Rouses thoughts that so long have slumbered. But Christ, has erased, all our guilt’s and fears, So now to past deeds, we’re not encumbered.

So It Arises
So it arises, awakens,
Honoring my first felt subtle
Emotion, begins the procession
Of night dreams and bust made in the day,
Of long unforgotten beauty’s face.
A salute to their shining eyes.
A thousand suns,
Rays beheld in deep gray pools of vision.
All crisis adverted as your spirit rouses me from
Deep hearts sleep.
No cold hands here.
The circuits of two joined,
Starts the journey of warned new passion,
Like fresh wine from the new vine....

O Sweet Erato
As I slumber
Deep in desirable dreams
She comes
With lyre in hand
Her song is purest poetry
Gifted by Apollo
And drawn by Zeus’ hand
O’ sweet melody
She serenades my soul
Whispering verses
Still longing to be made manifest
Her fragrance compels me
To dream her beauty
And inspires greatness
In corners of minds
Only muses can occupy
Daintily she places myrtle
Around my bed
And rouses me to dance
In her glorious creation
O’ sweet Erato...

Cycling Nature Dreams -Hs
jinxed souls i combat each night laboriously~ snorting loud on bed cognizant i lay browsing mounds of ceaseless tasks~ drifting in my brain fire flies breed in cheer enclosing frame serenely~ rouses my spirit i soar in night air enthralling glimpses of stars~ steering halts at dawn cycles thirsty dreamy thoughts~ as i sail on boat with snorts

Ebony,
dark-skinned queen,
luminous eyes
peer through
ethereal sheer veils.

Millions of her
stellar spies
keep celestial watch,
as her
constellations
tell tales
dwindling time
till the new day rouses the dreaming dawn.

She is mistress
of mysteries,
cloaked in an aura of
je ne sais quoi,
and blackened satin folds.
In the midnight hours
she reigns supreme
where twilight falls..
her Highness,
ebony night skies.
