The Sound of a Poem

The sound of a good poem;
words that roll over the tongue
fall into the ear
ricochet off the mind
and berth at the heart.

did not roll over
and tamely die

the ‘victim’ just blew
a kiss of love

Roll over with messy hair,
Celebrate, watch the sunrise;
Cinnamon coffee on ice;
An easy acoustic song
wake me with your perfect voice;
Blueberries and swollen lips,
take a breakfast holiday.

Naturalist

Fire on fire
Water roll over water
Air blends well in air

Nature gives desire
Little raindrop gives me ear
Much blow things over

Its bonus pleasure
We are all bless by nature

The sound of the birds chirping;
soft blankets, easy feeling;
A slow yawn at the alarm,
a quick roll over again;
A nice text message from you;
I smile thinking of your eyes,
It’s sunshine in the morning.

Tonight

TONIGHT
MIDNIGHT CALLS
FINDS ME ALONE
IN THE DARK CORNER
OF MY RAMBLING MIND
WAVES ROLL OVER ME
THE ECHO OF SILENCE
IT SHATTERS
IT IS BEYOND ME
BUT ALSO INSIDE
CLUTTERING MY SOUL
WITH EXCESS
A BLACK HOLE.

Duvet Day

It's warm beneath this duvet.
Outside it's cold and grey.
I wish I could roll over
And stay in bed today.
There's things I should be doing,
But if you'd let me choose
I'd stay beneath this duvet
And keep on pressing snooze

Go Back To Sleep

Go back to sleep, sweetheart.
Get rest, roll over, close your eyes and
Be still, my love.
Your tossing and turning
Your restless night wanderings
They disturb my dreams.
Don't forget we share this same bed
Though thousands of miles apart.

I Lay

Through the window,
The glare of the moon.
Lights up my eyes,
Not only my room.
I flip over my pillow,
And roll over in bed,
But like sugar plum fairies,
You dance through my head.
In hopes I don't wake up,
In thoughts of our break up,
In wishes we make up,
I lay.

Light and airy. Fast and scary. Tones are up. Beat is down. Wondering what made that sound. No instrument I can play, that would make for a good day. Yet, I hear that sound roll over in my head, playing again and again like a carpenter's thread.

Save the Tribes

Where are the Dinosaurs gone?,

Tracing beyond the Amazon forests,

Plants and lives loaded,

To the Noah's ship in safe,

On a head count, the tribes,

Passed the Earth in peace,in dearth and death,

Roll over the sky labs into the woods,

To save the dying noses and not the Di nos aurs!

Premium Member Shining

The luring into
the larva pose,
like raking leaves
and scrubbing scum off tapestries,
we work for the shine.
Let your better half fold itself
and roll over onto the turgid glaze.
Breathe fully, quietly in these days
and patient your perseverance.
The season remains the stronghold
to all God-willing fates.

Status Quo

You lay by my side,
sound asleep.
I sit there awake,
thinking of us.

You sit up awake,
as I lay there asleep.
We roll over in the morning,
with the sun rising.

We look at each other,
waiting for a connection.
The connection was lost years ago,
when you were seventeen.

Now it’s just the status quo,
to be with you.

Good, Evil, Rage: Me

Six AM is
NOT a
         Solace:
The ( waking ) hours
Seem
        NO
Better.
Roll over and press then
Panic Switch
(In your
         too
            loose
                  pants and
Flyaway bangs
And nosebleeds)
      Wishing
A  death
Upon the sunRISE
"Because
I
Said".

Premium Member A Weekday Morning

The sun plays peek-a-boo with blinds in my room.
I roll over in bed to the other side.
My alarm clock goes off with a whining boom.
I can no longer stay in my bed and hide.
It is the beginning of a brand new day.
There is no time to go outside, run, and play.
My job at a busy building calls my name.
The nation's economy is what I blame!
