He Is Gone
(in Memory of Rodney "CRASH" Edwards)

After I had grown of him very
fond
How could FATE come and
break that bond
Leaving Me with Nothing to
which I could hold on
Except, the MEMORIES, of
how he passed My lawn
If only I could bring it ALL
back, with My magic wand

My Friends
Charlie, the platypus,
Had a big yellow bus.

Money making plotter
Sells dodgy bent gear and smokes a cigar
Drives a yellow three wheeler T.I.T company car.

Rodney Trotter
Del's little brother, sidekick and cop spotter
A dipstick, a wally, a plonker or Dave
With two GCSEs he feels like an under-paid slave.

Rodney had been pleased with his self portrait, proud.
Now his sister’s voice had commanded a large gathering crowd.
That pig is adorable! Uncle Hawg said. Who is he then?
Rodney Rooter sucked in his tummy, trying to look thin....

Have you met Rodney yet?
Was it a dog? Was he her pet?
He’s made partly of gears and stuff
Smokes and also uses tobacco snuff.

Rodney Rodent is steampunk through and through
He gives me shivers said my cousin Sue
I finally met him, a formidable man.
Made partly of tin and a copper can.

He is not that scary I told her, he’s kind.
Still terrified, she has a doubting mind,
Rodney spoke and she fainted away.
I shrugged my shoulders, nothing to say....
