A Robin Sings
A brief stage in time,
a blinding light, then darkness-
Still, a robin sings.
A tribute to Robin Williams....

We Love the Nanny
We Love the Nanny
Promise me. Not a word to anyone.
I think I'm in love with the nanny.
She's young and vibrant and dark.
I'm blooming in her midnight garden.
My wires spark. My heart's ignited.
Keep it secret. Not a word to anyone....

I saw a picture of a chameleon in a magazine and I was a mazed at their feet, it reminded me
of the nan-o nan-o hand shake of Robin Williams in Mork and Mindy. Andrea you were right on....

The Tragic Cost
The genius of Robin Williams,
the prescience of Harry Nilsson
The magic of Brian Wilson,
the artistry of Nina Simone
Celebrity robbed them of their greatest gift,
the most treasured one of all
To live at peace within themselves
—a normal life recalled

Our Silenced Wonders
Robin Williams taught us "carpe diem"
too those of you who haven't seen him
Taught us to stretch our minds
to something loved and very kind
We use poetry cause were loving fools
to woo the women like passionate tools
we live for the freedom of something new
of dreams like sandy beaches and skies stretching blue...

A Little Less Laughter
A little less laughter in the world,
A little more reminiscing;
For that will be the way it goes
With Robin Williams missing.
A lot more tributes yet to come,
A lot of clips to show;
For folks just can't believe
That it was Robin's time to go.
A little less laughter in the world,
A lot more snide asides;
Alas, beneath the comic's mask,
Depression often hides....

Captain My Captain
The wind seems to blow when the cold settles in.
Darkness will fall after shadows begin.
The end truly came long before you were through,
now everyone is going to miss you.
Captain, my captain now gone to the sky.
Words can’t describe all the reasons we cry.
The circle’s complete now, there’s no reason why.
Captain, my captain… goodbye.

Lacking Nothing
Perfect and lacking the words dance in my head.
Perfection is a belief that should stay dead,
To lack information instead.
Learning that I can grow that must stay.
Perfection and lacking two unequal words,
Perfection is a lie, a victory never reached.
Lacking nothing is a belief that gives hope and sweet peace.
Perfection not needed here, simple trust without fear....

Robin Williams
A national treasure
Lies here at rest.
Robin Williams
A comedic best!
So many characters
He brought to life
...
Mork, Mr Keating
Mrs Doubtfire,
A bright blue genie
Granting wishes when required
...
A true inspiration
A gentle soul
His gifts, his skills
Matched each role.
And this dear man,
Though sleeping here,
Is a talent that will live on
For many more years.

Epitaph
Oh Captain, My Captain
"Oh Captain, my Captain."
As memories rush in.
We'd laugh, we'd cry.
We'd ponder and grin.
You touched us , you moved us.
You were like family.
"Oh Captain, my Captain"
What didn't we see?
The world now mourns,
the world now cries.
"Oh Captain, my Captain"
there's tears in our eyes.
"Oh Captain, my Captain"
you were one of a kind.
We'll remember you with love
and may peace your soul find.

The Distance Between Shadow and Light
Light means
That a shadow will soon dissect it
At just the right angle.
This lonesome man wonders
Did mr. Williams see it coming?
Or was it more of an illusion
As it may sometimes seem..
I think he grasped it
Because it's beacon was so eternal
And I think his recourse,
Like an artist,
Will continue to fall at
The feet of those
That will learn the distance
Between shadow and light.
RIP Robin Williams. We miss u!...

Funny Man
Funny Man!
By Linda Hays-Gibbs
Oh funny man you touch the hardest heart
With messages to crumble and start
A snickering or flickering to spark
A laugh a full belly rumbler
A genius of illogical and logical matter
Without him the whole world is astronomically sadder
Oh let our grief someday subside
That we in heaven will find
A bench upfront to see his latest comedic job ( I pray)
The jester (Robin Williams) at heaven's court for God...

A Tribute To Robin Williams the Funniest Man I Ever Knew
A special moment that moves the heart,
a special person a special part,
a special smile to make you laugh,
so many special voices, such a gas,
the deepest deepest sadness, the greatest loss,
a kindness, ancient peace,
a better place, a timeless place,
such great love remains,
and all the lives that touched,
like leaves in the rain,
tears of joy and love,
flowing together, rivers of life,
greatly greatly missed,
Yet, forever in the heart....

Dedication To Robin Williams
Doubting the fire in your heart
Firewater to wash the tears
Laughter hides the rain
Witty lines to overshadow the silence and the pain
Missing Doubts, fired from life’s strains
Acting roles, never I me
The Big screen, keeping you all over there
As I play my own role, hardly can I bare
Enveloped in sadness
No letter inside empty walls
Fulfilled now, the dead poet
The comedic tragedy
Hanging up side down
Too tired, I retire
To the society yonder...

Magic Smoke Rings
There was an ethereal quality about Elspeth
That made her a force we did not want to double cross.
She could blow smoke rings into faces for one thing.
I know, it sounds crazy, but I was there.
I saw it happen.
Worse, the voices have mouths that talk.
She can think Dr. Martin Luther King,
and not only does she conjure his face,
His voice appears and begins to talk.
The best one she ever conjured was
Robin Williams. He made us laugh for
the full three minutes before he disappeared....
