Oh Captain, My Captain

"Oh Captain, my Captain."
As memories rush in.
We'd laugh, we'd cry.
We'd ponder and grin.

You touched us , you moved us.
You were like family.
"Oh Captain, my Captain"
What didn't we see?

The world now mourns,
 the world now cries.
"Oh Captain, my Captain"
there's tears in our eyes.

"Oh Captain, my Captain"
you were one of a kind.
We'll remember you with love
and may peace your soul find.

I remember that week well. Your affinity seemed as if it were your father. So heartfelt. As lennon was to my poetry Williams was to my stand up side, so i have a similar affinity. Thank you.

A moving tribute to Robin Williams. The Dead Poet Society is one of my favorite movies.
