The sun's rays blare impatiently
a trumpet at my window
Their jars and jolts of dissonance
a workingman's overture's crescendo
The metaphorical rooster crows,
Rise and shine,
There is a hammer to be swung,
It is time to build the world I planned,

I’ve seen you struggle to grow.

Pivot on your gluteus maximus
And put your feet on the floor
Empower your thighs
And raise your center of gravity

In getting out of bed
Each morn very early, I wake from my slumber
I rise and shine, no matter the clock's number
It's a brand new day
Next act in life's play
What exciting new stuff could be waiting I wonder
