Heart
Heavily beating
Extending
And
Retracting
To pump blood to my body....

retracting from crassness
in order to protect our soul
although aversion manifests
we accept detractor’s ordained role

the ones who betray love
we notice they inwardly die
caused by delusion of course
in time all souls will wingless fly...

Premium Member She Never Had To Retract Her Words
She never had to retract her words
or her ideas
or her behaviors
or her opinions
or her attitudes

because she had been goaded and browbeaten into retracting herself

trained into submission by an expert seclude-her and abuser a long time ago...

Tightrope
like a dusty book
on the shelf unread
retracting words
written or said
this is the tightrope
on which I tread
different dreams
you have instead
nothing ventured
nothing spread
feel my tears
not yet shed
what comes from this
fills you with dread...

Premium Member Haversack Hope
Haversack hopes bring bitter crack
Next to nothing is brought back

Recalled promises all are lacking
Adding nothing but subtracting

Public messages are attacking
Better dreams start retracting

The finish line is protracting
People gather and start reacting...

Brim of the Universe
Anemone wind
with tendrils retracting and pulling us in
Impregnable sea
whispering: "You'll never dive into me"
Silk spinning clouds
unravel and open the heavens to sounds
Lithium sun
Energy pumping the system to run
Universe kiss
stratosphere pressed with invisible lips
Film of dust me
still on my tiptoes attempting to see......

Offer Inciting
It's so common, sometimes
To cross the line that's defined.
Unable to react to this reactment.
Retracting the retractor, of time.
Rthym of reason, lies of truth.
Faded minds of times youth.
Settle down to speed again.
Hurry to wait, for our end.
Send to defend,not to mend
Keep your heart whole and true
Is the season to be of the new....

Airy Syllables Amputating
lousy lips laced
with gaunt gaze
projected per peacocky
enchanting pull pulsing
retracting reels rumbling
muffled messages mumbling

damped debacles dripping
saucy strapped in
freakishly folded feelings

cusses gulping graces
airy syllables amputating
relegating oily obloquy

parted limbs leaking
jumpy jazz jolting.

It is like all the other certainties Were pipedreams reflective of the confusion you felt When I walked in, I walked in; into your chaos Without knowing I added to it Instead of retracting you swept me up Causing more turmoil Now we are floating on a carpet of disorder Destination self-destruction

Premium Member Your Present
Once You gave it, it is ours
Nothing can ever take it away
Whether it is an attribute
A quality, a state, a phenomenon
All are given without retracting
They are Your choices
Endow to Your admirers
Gift from above
Only You determine
When, what, and why
We can never guess You
It will never go away
With life’s occurrences
Divine, wonderment, rarity
Your present
Yours...

After Tne Storm
A vision high and so enchanting
Of sunlight off rainbow slanting
Minuscule droplets rays refracting
Light expanding and retracting

Through prism lens colors bending
To form a rainbow spectrum blending
A never-ending arch of wonder
Beginning at the end of thunder

A warm and ethereal hue
The world awash in colors new
Of bright, fresh tones in shades of green
And picture perfect sky serene...

You offer me sanctuary, though I didn't ask
I don't understand but I greedily grasp
You hold me in comfort no matter my flaws
Slowly I settle, start retracting my claws
I'm the frightened animal, unaccustomed to care
Untamed and flighty, yet you don't need to ensnare
Though I sense danger, I'm drawn to your side
Overwhelmed and uncertain as different worlds collide
Forever changed from wild unfortunate soul
Solitary creature now craves to feel whole...

Ash
She stood stoically fighting
the disease that crept through
her dry trunk
Sapping her life,
withering her leaves,
leaving her naked limbs
silhouetted against the
summer moon.

Her Roots retracting from the
moist soil
lose their grip on the earth
Until slowly, imperceptibly,
She leans
She falls

Lying in her lost leaves
her resting place accepts her
Embracing her death
with its life
Slowly, imperceptibly
She is subsumed
Until
Under a summer moon
A sapling grows...

Limerick crochet: Once a dangling Dude got himself tattooed

Once a dangling Dude got himself tattooed
All over to make himself look pretty good
Only piece tattoo free
Was the retracting pPp:
So he installed stainless steel under hood.

He met a woman with scarce a stain
On her svelte body smooth as satin
So they locked jaws and torso:
Steel piece severed in grotto
Surgeons found tattooed insides: shark’s teeth and fin !
