Sweet Innocence

Light of heaven in the eyes of a child
Beauty, innocence, purity and love
Sweetly reposing in her cradle mild
Her dreams carried afar on the wings of dove.

Exotic Rubenesque Bubble Nests

colorful birds enjoy their apartment in the sky
exotic island-like Rubenesque bubble nests
fowls in a variety of gorgeous colors, reposing
their plain round grass huts show them off well.

Sophia

Blessing
the last poem
I’m ever to write
My body
reposing
Sophia’s delight
With eyes
dimming slowly
each breath growing thin
My spark
to an Angel
— as light to begin

Ruminations

RUMINATIONS
sentiment
   glimmer
in
primitive
  gatherings
approach
  then
turn
desert
&continue
to decay
&rot

soon forgotten
reposing
in
a breadth
of fine mesh
piled high
with
translucent
half-visions
beyond
the quaint
mottled
 machinations

Autumn Afternoon

Turning sun's touch realign and tilt
Languid brooks scarce compete with hardy
The breeze of ease reposing and tardy
As debutants of summer seem to wilt

Felines

A pair of reposing
Arabian princes,
She calls Vladimir
And retarded Cat,

Are purring and pawing
In the soft domain
of her loving lap...

A distant admirer
Pets his intrigue,
A half eaten heart
Surrenders and dreams.

Oh felines of feeling
Closeness is surely
Better than cream...

Caring For Yourself

Luxurious lingering, lovingly lithe, lounging
Reposing, relaxed responsive respite
Enjoying enthusiastic exciting meditative moments
Replenish, rejuvenate and reimagine yourself
Necessary nirvana of niceness to face felonious friends
Who wander into your zone,
Unilaterally uncaring, and unconcerned,
That your feelings are important also.

Observing Leopard

Leopard looks solidly relaxed
Reposing in the top of his tree
Using binoculars, I marvel at his beauty.
Or her beauty, there is a regal magnificence about her
I wonder if she senses she is being watched.
As she licks her paws I get a weird feeling that she does not.
But then she stops and stares straight as an arrow toward me.
I stop breathing.

In Her Nest Reading

Where is Selma? I asked her mother.
You won’t believe me.
I might.

Reading in her nest.
I thought her mom meant her bed.
But her bed was empty.

Her mom led me to the den.
Selma was sprawled out, reading her I-pad.
Her body was lounging on top of pillows shaped like eggs
They were reposing on an overstuffed nest.

I thought I was spoiled! I said.
Selma laughed.

The Monster Inside

There are darksome days Those storms we all must ride But the greatest storm of all Is the monster tucked inside. It brings out the worst in you When sullen days would creep Its like a raging storm reposing In a gladsome heart so deep. Only in moments to come alive When emotions tough are grind But its hard to tame the fires Of a proud and monstrous mind.

Getting a Look At the Decanter

sticky warm sanguine blood
reposing in Dracula’s crystal decanter
his bride terrified to ask whose it is
her parents have been missing for a week
his black wolf howls his displeasure when she gets close to the table
she scurries away, but not before seeing two black spiders
he always promised to transmogrify them into creatures
if they did not stop interfering
she goes to bed that night with a sad heart

Sharee Lee

Sharee Lee took her milk bath in the evening, loving it so.
The neighbor knew not to disturb her, his name was Moe.
She held her honey nut cereal on her knee
Bathing and listening to music simultaneously.

Reposing her body in a meditative relaxing way.
Getting her mind and body ready to dream far away.
Moe smiled as he thought of the way she relaxed every eve.
He was more than a bit interested in this pretty girl, Sharee Lee.

Rhyme

Rhymes are quite useful for

     recording a moment,

          recanting a story,

   reposing with great words,

       reflecting on life and . . .

refuge from forms random,

             radiant or rakish.

Idyll By Idle

In monysllables; in almost inarticulate speech
The murmer of life awakes my thought
Patterns impress upon my conciusness
Filagree of tree branches on the ground
Rumble of traffic a sound in staccato
All nessesary movement; cat and mouse I
Sense, the fear; I shudder at a fervid pleasure
See the ice cream van, and the twin-set lady
Demure reposing, a reflecion of the impossible
Days demand; invade; the scenes I survey
I smooth out the twenty dollar bill; again
And consider.'
