In monysllables; in almost inarticulate speech The murmer of life awakes my thought Patterns impress upon my conciusness Filagree of tree branches on the ground Rumble of traffic a sound in staccato All nessesary movement; cat and mouse I Sense, the fear; I shudder at a fervid pleasure See the ice cream van, and the twin-set lady Demure reposing, a reflecion of the impossible Days demand; invade; the scenes I survey I smooth out the twenty dollar bill; again And consider.'
