Idyll By Idle
In monysllables; in almost inarticulate speech
The murmer of life awakes my thought
Patterns impress upon my conciusness
Filagree of tree branches on the ground
Rumble of traffic a sound in staccato
All nessesary movement; cat and mouse I
Sense, the fear; I shudder at a fervid pleasure
See the ice cream van, and the twin-set lady
Demure reposing, a reflecion of the impossible
Days demand; invade; the scenes I survey
I smooth out the twenty dollar bill; again
And consider.'
