no longer jealous of dogs

I was jealous of dogs
they sleep nineteen hours a day
I could not wait to retire
Now I try to sleep nineteen hours a day too
to make up for lost time
mirroring my dogs,
forcing my type A personality to relax

I move from couch to bed to couch
resting, sleeping, reposing,
I am fully retired,
wishing I could sleep nineteen hours a day
staying up all night, and sleeping twelve hours a day
happy to be on my natural schedule at last
no longer jealous of dogs
