In the galaxy of regret and longing,
A wish called smiling love.
Time passes, I have stretched out my hands
To restore the bond from separation.
Warm flames rekindled,
that smoke’s been absent too long.
Jumpstart ho hum hands.
Be seduced by the unknown,

Wild, ecstatic, frivolous roses,
Haphazardly draping in staccato pink
The grassy embankment.
Bubbling, gleeful, like so many corsages
On fresh-faced girls at a
High school prom.
Cheerful, radiant, intricate charms,
Proffering subliminal messages
Of joy and hope rekindled.
When’er you walk among my words
pausing to drink deep their meaning
You renew life within my pen
and wake my soul from its dreaming
Should word or phrase catch bold your eye
to beg reflection of their worth
Then doth bequeath the breath of life
upon my hope’s rekindled birth
