Rehab

I once had a Lazy Susan
Adding confusion to choosin'
I gave her a spin
But never could win
And that's why I turned to boozin'

Rehab

Paint my eyes black, blind me.
Rip my nails off, unarm me.
Place me with those just like me.
Try months to rehabilitate,
the lost and untimely.

Rehab

Rehabilitation from taking second and third glances,
From being enamoured with rust
And letting love turn to dust
Insisting it’s the real thing.
I’m learning real love can’t be downloaded.

Rehab made me angry.

Lots of people were doing exercises.

I had a wheelchair, and I was not doing any.

I need you to do six of these.

No. I said; I did not feel like being helpful.

At the Rehab Center

Squeeze a little tighter
the therapist said at the rehab
a tear drop fell at the corner
of her eye
as she smiled

Rehab Girls

I died
And when I awoke
All the women were tall
Wearing sweats
Had their hair up
Cursing
Smoking menthol cigarettes
They say god loves babies and fools
There are babies out there
And fools in here

Rehab

He told me look back at it
Got him comin back like a crack addict
He says he's got a craving
Body aching
Hands shaking
He's a fiend for it
Plot and scheme for it
He gets what he gets
Still throws a fit
He can't quit
He's got it bad

REHABS
Doctors and nurses
QUIET!
They say.
We live like mannequins,
Think like
Man kneel
KILL!
We are like zeros.
They prove to be heroes .
Real help or real herbs
We stay confused,
Civilization so we hear!
Real helps or rehabs
Drug full or drug free.

Psych Rehab

Nerve chemical is a toxic chemical..
It is colourless and odorless..
It dissolves in water..
It can be delivered in food..
It can be injected to cause plegia..
It causes paraplegia and quadriplegia.
Supari killers use it as silent weapon.

Premium Member Jacaranda Petals At Rehab

At rehab the angels of sobriety made me write the word Love in the soil with

Jacaranda petals the colour of indigo from a rainbow and crown chakra in waiting

‘There was a beautiful soul here who drew a Heart of same petals on the lawn’

I flew like a bee to sweet honey to a visiting Queen of Fairy Tale Land unaware

That She was the synchronous painter a kind Universe sent as soulmate and wife

The Rehab

The more you ignore the less the words turn towards the poem Whatever care you offer at the rehab as a show of the charity The leaves and stems keep suffering from the fungal infection The birds keep clear of the wrinkled shadows of the trees Can't you have a few hearts of the morning dew ___________________________________________.________________________ 22 May, 2018 Rehabilitation Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Julia Ward
