I'M Booked Into Rehab - Not For Contest

I’m telling you this, it’s no rumour -
Some people knock my sense of humour 
So I’ve ordered a cab
To take me to rehab
With poetry I’m a late bloomer!

Thanks so much, that is a charming thing to say Paul. I wonder how I would have flourished if I'd started writing sooner, I guess I will never know but I think I'd never had the need to express myself in words until hubby got cancer:-) hugs jan xx

Jan, with your amazing rise to one of Soups funniest poets, forget rehab. You can no longer call yourself a late bloomer! On the other hand, I definitely am, coming to Poetry Soup in my late 60s! Best to you. / M

Aww thanks so much for that lovely comment Maurice:-) I've only been writing since Nov 2013 and joined soup in Feb 2014 I never dreamed I would fly so high and write poetry as i hated it at school. Maybe it just wasn't the right sort of poetry to grab my attention but now the skies the limit and my confidence is soaring like my little dragonfly avatar:-) hugs jan xx

I don;t even know if there is a rehab center on our Island - yes for drugs, and alcohol addiction but I hope I never have to get booked into it for anything:-) hugs jan xx
