HANNAH

HANNAH

A palindromatic young "Hannah"
Bought a curry for just one "anna".
She consumed it at "noon"
And turned "redder" quite soon
So her "mom" and "dad" had to fan her

Cute Christmas Couplet

Roses are red, pointsettias are redder.
Red ribbons say Christmas, red wine says it better!

Rain-Drenched Hair

'It isn't fair,'
he often said,
'my rain-drenched hair
is very red;
without the rain,
I'm blonde again,
but now it's wet,
it's redder yet.'

Babe Midst Bloom

Each of her babe's cheek's
Enlivened feature
Redder dawning sky's; more bright .
Sky's at summer's height.

Whilst all her babe's crawl's
Excited leisure
O'ertakes butterfly's! Who one
Sprung spell to the next
Of the more fanciful made
Bloom, prairied, invade.

The Breeze Lifts My Spirits

Roses look redder
     Sunflowers sunnier
   Chrysanthemums brighter
     Queen Anne's lace whiter

   Leaves waving like pennants
     Puffy clouds sail along
   Grass green and refreshed
     Birds sing their song

   The breeze lifts my spirits
One click saves and submits it

Rain Kiss

Daisies wear dewy dimples,
even as the merry marigolds seem to melt...

And on that faraway mountain, in a summer cottage,
those roses blush redder when the rain kisses them.

The Pain of Desire

Soft and silent
It starts.
Falling over me
Slowly.

Almost ticking at first
Its kind of exciting.
The movement quietly
Floods through me.

The feathery softness
Quickly becomes solid.
No longer flexible,
It turns me fragile.

It's fluffy little fingers
Redder than the flames
Of my pain.

Silently
Molting by the fire,
I wait
Consumed by desire.

Summertime Heat

The peak of the summertime brings the heat
All day in the sun leaves you feeling beat
Try hard to get cool
Time spent by the pool
So much time you are redder than a beet

Your skin feels like leathery dried out meat
You'd give anything for an icy cool treat
The sun is so cruel
You feel like a fool
To the sun I admit utter defeat

Run Away

I’ve been alone and afraid of me,
Because I’ve been fighting a war,
A battle inside of me,
And every time I try to change my ways,
I fall along the way,
And every time I try to make me better,
My sins just become redder,
I’ve been a fool,
In so many ways,
And now there’s only one option,
A very primitive notion,
For me to get away from me,
To run away.

It's April

April brings with her the fragrance
of springtime, clean as airy grass
cuddling baby blooms--
And nights grow longer, clouds in redder hue,
as bushes change to emerald instead of weeds-
while sounds of jaybirds recite
a holy prayer--
through dreamy walks by the sea,
I meet new season's breeze
knowing there is heaven in spring.

Everything Looks Better Through Shattered Glass

Everything looks better through shattered glass
My reflection is bright and glowing
And it bounces around
Like the man on the moon
My blood is ready and redder
And the shards of glass
Embedded in my palms
Look like diamonds around your girlfriend’s throat
She’s choking on her precious stones
But I’m too busy admiring
My many facets in this shattered glass

Spring Is In the Air, Done

Listen to poem:
Birds herald Spring's awakening
    with alarm clock
    din rung.
Scents from flower buds leak
    gossamer trails
    into the air.
The sky at dawn has a brighter, redder blush
   as life uncoils
   out of hibernation's suspension
   in surge of energy,
   unwound discharged,
   by unrelenting, unstoppable
   hint of Spring in air.
Spring revealed, burst,
   is sprung, done.

Two Souls

In a crowd they saw each other,
neither of them said a word, but just one look
and they saw each other's souls.
He winked and she smiled as her cheeks grew redder,
they knew it was true
they loved each other.
But They would never say to one another
how easily their two souls intertwined...
and the world would never know.
Just a soft glimpse of love touched for a moment
and lost in a second.

My Germ Filled Limerick

My nose is redder than red
The flu has put me in bed
I sniffle and drip
I can’t get a grip
For there’s pure lead in my head

Coughed up a poem or two
That might not make sense to you
The germs and the phlegm
Have covered this gem
Clean it, for it is…true blue!

It’s been a miserable day
Been grumpy all the way
But for this great SOUP
You guys are the scoup
Much better than meds…. I’ll say!

What Usually Follow

When we don’t a lunatic fetter,
Sanity does not look quite better;
When A Sluggard is The Pace Setter,
Things begin to happen much later:
An Aquarian Chosen Go-getter,
A lot tend to be rather wetter;
Everyone A Well-Trained Sharp Shooter
Exchange of Gunfire The Redder;
One deciding to be A Looter
Many Shaky Accounts The Redder …

I’ve told you what usually follow
And why my laughs are sometimes hollow.

Dirty Deed of a Scallywag

At noon, I heard what sounded like a pop
It continued all eve, and wouldn't stop
Now, it sounds like a peep
Aha! More like a beep
I am not a kook! In my eye there's a drop.

Mom thought it was someone playing a gag
I turned redder than a Japanese flag
"On the level," I cry!
I refer and imply
Who did the dirty deed... the scallywag?

Memorial Day

The flowers all are folded
We children used to wear,
The garlands that we molded
Are withered in our hair.

We’ve given up the battle
Of flowering the world,
We’d rather hear rifles rattle
And see red flags unfurled.

Soldier’s furloughs are better
Than children’s holidays
Though shrapnel-wounds are wetter
And redder, than bouquets.

For Mars returns and bloodies
The sky and sand beneath,
The summer rainfall muddies
The white cross and the wreath.

Autumnal Colour Show

The most splendid of the Earth’s colour shows,
Sparkling like rubies, with the sunset it glows.

Speckled with red, green, yellow and pink,
Only for few months do these colours link.

Almost like a large fire that makes one fear:
From high mountains to the banks of the pier.

It shifts colours: gold as light when daybreaks,
But redder than blood as twilight takes place.

This show of colour almost made us forget,
The white queen, whom will next be met.

Palandrome Finished Soon

Dad was going to repaper the wall.
Mum held the ladder, so he did not fall.
Will it be done by noon?
Dad smiled and did say "soon".
Speaking loud “keep it levelDad did call.

Mum unhappy - planned it red all along.
Dad "asked what made you sad, Wow what is wrong?"
He completed the deed.
It's a rest he did need.
"Pink?" said Mum"I want it redder, so strong!"

Palindrome 2- Springtime Memories

Springtime reminds me of my “dad.”
He loved how the flowers got redder,
When it's “noon” in spring I’m a lil lad.
I think “mom” enjoys its weather.

“WoW” as I gaze at majestic trees,
I feel peace on a different “level”.
Me and my sis “Anna” kneel on knees,
Our “civic” duty wasn’t to revel.

When we stood up we got in our “Kayak”,
In our minds it like being a in “racecar”.
Dad got one with a “ rotor” in the back.
"Sis" hoped for speed and that's bizarre.
